Purpose The influence of entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge management on innovation, the influence of knowledge management on the implementation of strategies and the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge management, innovation, implementation of strategies to organizational performance, where the organization referred to is an Islamic boarding school. Design/methodology/approach This research applied quantitative causal design and was an explanatory research. It was conducted at an Islamic boarding school in Malang in the period of April to December 2017. The population of this study included the managers of the pesantren, teachers and employee representatives making strategic decisions. The unit of analysis in this study consisted of Pondok Pesantren Ar Rohmah Putra, Pondok Pesantren Ar Rohmah Putri, Pondok Pesantren Al Izzah, Tazkiyah IIBS, Pondok Pesantren Darul Maghfirroh, Pondok Pesantren An Nur Putra, Pondok Pesantren An Nur Putri, PSBB MAN 3 Malang, Pondok Pesantren Ar Rifa’i Putra and Pondok Pesantren Ar Rifa’i Putri. Findings First, entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge management have a significant and positive impact on the improvement of innovation. This means that the higher the entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge management by Islamic boarding schools, the better the innovation in business competitiveness. Second, knowledge management positively affects the strategy implementation. This means the better the knowledge management, the better the strategy implementation of within the framework of business competitiveness of Islamic boarding schools. Third, entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge management and strategy implementation have a significant effect on the improvement of performance of Islamic boarding schools. The higher the entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge management and strategy implementation, the better will be the performance of Islamic boarding schools. Originality/value This study is one of the few studies that examine the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge management on innovation, implementation of strategies and the impact on organizational performance.
This paper offers an empirical study of the role of work motivation in mediating the effect of education-training and leadership style on the performance of Ministry of Education employees in Timor-Leste. Data were obtained from 86 employees as samples through questionnaires. We applied the SEM-PLS to analyze the proposed relationship model. Empirical results show that work motivation mediated the influence of leadership style on employee performance, but not for educationtraining. The results can provide valuable insight for public service management.
Mobile banking is one of the channels of banking service provided by banking institutions in forms of modern platforms that are fully based on digital technology and displace physical interaction between banks and their customers. For banking industry, mobile banking is more than a service option; it is a strategic plan to facilitate customer's changes in behavior. However, the acceptance of such platform by the public, particularly micro entrepreneurs, is still in question. The objective of this research is to identify factors influencing the use of mobile banking based on the perception of micro customers of Bank DKI in Surabaya. The variables used in this study were developed from previous researches that also examined the same matter with adjustment on the characteristics of micro customers. The variables, developed through the theoretical review, were then empirically assessed using SEM-PLS. the data was collected from questionnaires distributed to 266 micro customers who received financing from Bank DKI. The surcey discovered that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and social influence are empirically proven to have both direct effects on the use of mobile banking and indirect effects through attitude toward use. Practical implications also discussed in this paper.
This study examines the effect of work environment on retail store employee performance in Malang, Indonesia with the role of work motivation as a mediation. Respondents in this study used 152 respondents who were millennials employees of retail stores in Malang Indonesia. This study uses a statistical analysis of the Structured Equation Model and Partial Least Square. WarpPLS is used as a data processing program for hypothesis testing. The test results show that the work environment has a significant effect of 0.259 on employee performance. The work environment at the retail stores also has a significant effect of 0.742 on work motivation. Work motivation also provides significant results on employee performance of 0.234. The mediating role of work motivation on the work environment and employee performance in retail stores throughout Malang, Indonesia has a significant mediating effect of 0.170

Sample has taken by survey methode by used saturated sampling which mean make all population member as a sample. Research sample were 143 nurses who work at Waluyo Jati Kraksaan Probolinggo Hospital with more than 1 year working time. The analyse tool is Partial Least Square (PLS). The research result competencies, training and organization culture influence organizational commitment directly but didnt have influence on nurses performance. Organizational commitmen have the role mediation fully (complete) by competencies, training with culture to nurses’performance in Waluyo Jati Kraksaan Hospital.
This research aims to know the role of brand image to mediate the influence of green marketing on The Body Shop brand loyalty of beauty products. This research was conducted with 150 respondents in the city of Malang and used the purposive sampling method. Methods of data collection used a questionnaire distributed through google forms. The data analysis technique used was Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) approaches. Based on the results, green marketing had a positive and significant impact on brand image. Green marketing had a positive and significant impact on consumer loyalty. The brand image had a positive and significant impact on consumer loyalty. The brand image could significantly mediate the influence of green marketing on consumer loyalty beauty products of The Body Shop. These results revealed that the greater the green marketing gained and perceived by consumers was, the greater the sense of brand image and consumer loyalty arose from The Body Shop’s consumers.
