Human resource development is the focus of the government in the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Draft. One of the concerns is stunting. Bandung Regency is one of the areas with a high prevalence of stunting. Data from the 2022 Indonesia Nutrition Status Study shows that the prevalence of stunting in the Bandung Regency area reaches 31.1 percent or 112,000 people. Sukamulya Village is one of the villages that has implemented a stunting prevention program seriously. The stunting prevalence rate can be reduced to 11 percent per year in 2021 from 14 percent in 2019. This figure is indeed quite good, but the decline in the number which is only 1 percent per year is an interesting thing to study. One of the causes of stunting is early marriage by young people. Therefore this study aims to understand the opinions and attitudes of the youth subculture of Sukamulya Village on the issue of stunting. The theory used in this research is Youth Subculture and Social Learning Theory. The research methodology uses a constructivist qualitative approach. The results showed that the opinions and attitudes of the youth subculture in Sukamulya Village were divided into three groups. Groups that have awareness of the issues of stunting and early marriage, groups that know about stunting issues but don't care about them and groups that don't know. The emergence of these three groups is due to different levels of consciousness and intellect.
This study aims to determine Indonesia's strategy in implementing cultural diplomacy and soft power diplomacy through the cultural event ‘The Symphony of Friendship’ by the Indonesian Embassy in New Zealand. Using a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques through semi-structured in-depth interviews, which are then analyzed in depth supported by trust checking techniques through triangulation of data sources. The findings in this study are cultural diplomacy aimed at building Indonesia's image in the South Pacific region in dealing with separatist issues in Papua, which have been raised internationally by several countries, namely Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea. The TSF was conducted to build a perception of Indonesia in the Pacific community as a colonialist against Papua, presenting a positive perception so that Indonesia is not seen as carrying out repression in Papua through a cultural approach and embracing the community to work together and encourage togetherness through a musical approach.
The arrival of the internet has no doubt affected the media business. As of now, the amount of online media outnumbers print media. However, the presence of female journalists across online media newsrooms has not shown significance, especially in decision-making levels. This study examines female journalists working in online media. The glass ceiling theory is used in this study and coupled with the concept of jender and organizational communication. Phenomenology will be the methodology used to examine the journalists’ experience to reach the editorial leader level, editor, or assistant editor. The result of this study also showcases that media outlets with an equal amount of female and male journalists will have equal reporting duties and script editing regardless of jender. The tasks are adjusted to work schedules even with jender- related training programs given to anyone. Meanwhile, media outlets with more male journalists compared to female counterparts provide greater chances for male workers to reach the top level. Despite not annulling the chances for female journalists to reach decision-making levels. Female journalists who succeed in breaching this glass ceiling can do it by showing exceptional work performances. Female employees must be able to penetrate the patriarchal culture that still exists in several Indonesian media because the existence of female journalists provides balanced coverage regarding women.
