Purpose This paper aims to discuss the dynamic interactions among knowledge management, strategic foresight and emerging technologies, resulting in a framework that can help companies to shape these interactions for achieving positive outcomes. Design/methodology/approach This conceptual paper is based on prior literature streams, which were interrelated through an abductive research process. This iterative conceptualization approach led to the formation of testable propositions that advance the understanding on the interactions among knowledge management, strategic foresight and emerging technologies. Findings The framework demonstrates the existence of an actions cycle between strategic foresight and knowledge management through a constructivist perspective, where one can improve the other. These interactions can be useful both for the development of emerging technologies and for identifying these innovations in market that can be applied in companies. Hence, all these dynamic interactions do not point to a hegemonic relationship of one construct over the others, but for the value equality among them. Originality/value Although current literature points to the existence of relationships among knowledge management, strategic foresight and emerging technologies, the dynamism inherent in these interactions as well as their positive effects for companies’ results are not properly discussed. This paper fills such a gap and proposes directions for future research.
Resumo:A partir de experiência conceitual e prática em tecnologias computacionais e método de pesquisa e de análise de dados, concebe-se um modelo (de formulário) para análise de dados qualitativos a partir da combinação de técnicas e ferramentas de análises léxica e de conteúdo. Ao mesmo tempo em que lê, analisa e codifica, o pesquisador pode ver o resultado de suas análises mais ou menos objetivas ir tomando forma, regulando, por aí mesmo, o seu próprio protocolo ou vocabulário de análise. Demonstra-se técnicas para preparação dos dados abertos textuais, em especial propõe-se um modelo integrando essas técnicas, o qual permite que o analista registre a subjetividade de sua percepção e tenha ao mesmo tempo uma noção do resultado da análise em curso, em todos seus aspectos. O modelo proposto pode ser realizado mesmo via web. Palavras-chave: Dados qualitativos -Análise Léxica -Análise de Conteúdo - Protocolos de análise Abstract:Based on years of experience in computational technologies and method, one mix of ideas, practical concepts becomes and we offer a model for qualitative data analysis combining techniques and tools of lexical and content analyses, which can even be carried through the web. As the analyst is reading and coding, he or she can see the results of its more or less objective analysis taking form, so regulating, for there exactly, its proper protocol or vocabulary of analysis. A model is considered integrating these techniques, which allows the analyst to register the subjectivity of its perception and has at the same time a notion of the results of the analysis in course.
Purpose Instigated by the trend of collaborative economics, taking into consideration the particularities pointed out by Simis (2015), such as a new social, economic and technological scenario, this paper aims to identify which factors serve as motivators for collaboration among the technologies of this scenario. Design/methodology/approach In this paper, the authors analyzed Waze, an application that works based on traffic information made available by the users of the platform. For the development of this qualitative work, aspects that served as the basis for the interview script applied were classified into three different categories: utilization, personal values and gamification; the latter being an important aspect for collaboration in the application in question. Two distinct groups were interviewed; one of regular users of Waze, and the other of advanced users, who also work voluntarily in the maintenance of the app. Findings The results indicate that personal values are determinant factors for both groups; however, there are distinct incentives for the different users interviewed, like reciprocity, altruism and empathy. The first one is an important aspect to share information by the regular users, while the other ones are characteristics advanced users. Research limitations/implications The study presents some limitations in terms of the restricted group and focus on only one of the many collaborative technological social, as well as lacking on-site analysis of the use of Waze. Practical implications This is a valid research when taking into consideration studies that approach the app Waze, as the issues explored in this paper are new in the academic studies considering previous app’s analyses that are related to functionality. Social implications The results presented in this study help to understand the current relationship between sharing economy and the technology provided to those who use these platforms. Originality/value This research opens the horizon for future studies applied on other collaborative technological user platforms, to see if the results would be similar and construct a user journey in relation to information sharing through experimental monitoring.
RESUMOCom o aumento da competição, estabeleceu-se a necessidade pelo acompanhamento do que os concorrentes estão fazendo e o que os clientes estão querendo. No Brasil, desde o início dos anos 2000, surgiram com maior ênfase metodologias que vão ao encontro deste olhar para o ambiente externo, denominadas metodologias de inteligência. São inúmeras, e se propõem a apoiar as organizações no processo de obtenção e uso de informações. Com a Internet, cada vez mais informações estão disponíveis para proporcionar o acompanhamento do que está acontecendo em cada um dos ambientes de competição onde as organizações estão inseridas. Desta forma, levando-se em consideração as metodologias de inteligência disponíveis e as premissas sobre grandes volumes de informações para acompanhamento dos ambientes de competição, faz sentido imaginar que um software possa contribuir neste cenário. Entretanto, quais requisitos funcionais um software de apoio ao processo de inteligência deveria ter? Esta é a principal questão que este trabalho busca responder. Através de extensa pesquisa bibliográfica na área de administração e entrevistas em profundidade com especialistas e profissionais em inteligência, foi possível identificar funcionalidades para, ao final deste estudo, propor uma relação de requisitos funcionais de software capaz de contribuir para este importante processo adotado nas principais organizações brasileiras.
