Mathematical problem solving is a problem solving that uses mathematical problem solving. Students in the problem solving did not use the polya method so that students succeeded in difficulties. Educators still use conventional learning models so that students become bored, passive and reluctant to ask whether going forward working on the questions given by the educator, so that new learning models need to be applied. The e-learning learning model assisted with Edmodo learning media is an online presentation material on an Edmodo account using the mobile phone of students. PAM is the knowledge learned by students before getting learning material. This study aims to study the interaction of e-learning learning models assisted by Edmodo learning media to solve mathematical problems. This study is quantitative research. Data collection used with tests, interviews, collection and collection. The data analysis technique uses two-way anava test with cells that are not the same. From the results of the analysis, the influence of the e-learning learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities. It is necessary to question the high, medium, and low mathematical initial knowledge of Great mathematical problem solving ability, then there is no difference between assisted e-learning learning models edmodo, mathematical initial knowledge of mathematical problem solving abilities.
The process of thinking is a process that someone does in recalling the knowledge already stored in his memory for a moment used in receiving information, processing, and concluding something. Students' thinking processes in solving math problems differ from each individual, one of which is Adversity Quotient (AQ). AQ is a capability that someone has in dealing with and solve a problem. AQ consists of 3 types, namely climber, camper, and quitter. This study aims to describe the thinking process of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems based on Polya steps in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ) climber type. Mathematical problem solving in this research using Polya steps. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data collection in this research is done by questionnaire technique and job-based interview. Data validity technique used in this research is time triangulation and using reference material. Data analysis techniques used are the concept of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that climber students conducted assimilation thinking processes at the stage of understanding the problem, drafting a settlement plan, solving the problem according to plan, and reexamining the results.
This research entitled Development of Mathematics Based Module of Ethnomathematics using Inkuiri method. This study aims to find out how the development of mathematics learning module based on ethnomathematics using inquiry method, and to know the teacher and student response to the development of mathematics learning module based on ethnomathematics using inquiry method. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) using 4D model. Based on the results of the validation of stage 1 by the material experts obtained a cumulative average of 65.36% with the criteria of "good enough" which means that there is an improvement of some aspects contained in the module. After performing a series of revisions, the average score of cumulative of 84.02% validation with "good" criterion was obtained, so there is no revision of the module. The average score of cumulative validation of stage 1 by a media expert is 60% with a "good enough" code which means that it needs to be revised in some parts of the module. In the second stage of validation, the average cultivation is 86.66% with "very good" criteria so that the module is valid and ready for a field trial. From the results of research teacher response to the module obtained an average of 86.15% with the criteria "very interesting". In the small group trial, the average of 85% was obtained with interesting criteria and large group trial obtained an average of 87.28% with very interesting criteria so that the module is feasible and ready to be used as teaching materials.
Analytical thinking is a skill to unite the initial process, plan solutions, produce solutions, and conclude something to produce conclusions or correct answers. This research aims to 1) determine whether there are differences in students' mathematical, analytical thinking skills between classes that use the Open-ended learning method and classes that use the lecturing method, 2) to find out whether there are mathematical, analytical thinking skills differences between students with high, moderate, and low self-awareness criteria, and 3) to find out whether there is an interaction between Open-ended learning method and self-awareness toward students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills. This research employs a quasi-experimental design. Based on the data and data analysis, this research is mixed-method research, and the design used in this research is the posttest control group design. This research was conducted on students who have studied the Real Analysis Courses. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found out that, first, there are differences in students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills between the class that uses the Open-ended learning method and the class that uses the lecturing method. Second, there are mathematical-analytical thinking skills differences between high, moderate, and low self-awareness criteria. Third, there is no interaction between the Open-ended learning method with self-awareness of students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
