O artigo versa sobre a exposição da mulher negra à violência na cidade de Campinas. A partir do artigo “Espaço urbano, violência e mulheres negras: parte 1”, que fundamenta teoricamente o objeto da reflexão aqui apresentada no que tange aos conceitos básicos ligados ao racismo e à condição da desigualdade racial no espaço urbano, foi possível desenvolver esta nova reflexão, agora com foco na mulher negra, sujeita a uma situação de vulnerabilidade social maior do que o homem negro. O artigo tem recorte criminológico, no sentido proposto pela Escola de Chicago, que relaciona a falta de urbanização (falta de acesso a bens e equipamentos públicos) como fator de elevação da criminalidade e da Criminologia Feminista, que relaciona gênero feminino, pobreza e raça negra como fatores discriminatórios que se acumulam. Nesse sentido, mulheres negras seriam, em regra, as pessoas mais expostas a situações de violência urbana e de vulnerabilidade social, haja vista que as condições de gênero e raça acabam por determinar sua sociabilidade nos bairros menos urbanizados, com piores condições estruturais e mais sujeitos a situações de violência. A pesquisa é realizada com base em dados históricos e demográficos, mas também em literatura interdisciplinar sobre raça, classe e gênero, especialmente a partir do referencial teórico de Robert Ezra Park, Angela Davis, Loic Wacquant e Lélia Gonzales, complementado por textos de Milton Santos, Josué Mastrodi, Waleska Batista e Silvio Almeida. Neste artigo, afirmamos, a partir da concepção de racismo estrutural, que a população negra está submetida à desigualdade racial no Brasil. Questionamos se a segregação socioespacial, planejada para criar e manter o lugar do negro separado do lugar do branco, é um desdobramento do racismo estrutural. Procuramos verificar esta hipótese ao compreender a organização do espaço urbano de modo a condicionar a população negra a guetos, caracterizados, dentre outros aspectos, pela barreira étnica e pela pobreza de seus habitantes. Os guetos são historicamente representados por territórios ocupados pela população negra, das senzalas às favelas e conjuntos habitacionais. Em nosso recorte, compreendemos que a questão racial impõe ao negro maiores obstáculos em relação a trabalho, rendimento, e educação, assim como determina as suas condições de moradia e de mais exposição à violência urbana. Explicitamos a desigualdade racial no Brasil, com ênfase na segregação socioespacial, a partir de revisão bibliográfica e de análise de dados do Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada e do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística.
