Cancer is a major public health problem worldwide, and cancer is a term given to a group of diseases characterized by abnormal growth and proliferation of cells as a result of uncontrolled cell divisions or tumor suppressor genes. The current study was included an evaluation of chemokine CXCL12 level with oxidative stress in women with breast cancer. The study included the collection of 90 blood samples for women, and the samples were distributed into 50 samples for women with breast cancer, their ages ranged from 40-70 years, the samples were collected from the Breast Cancer Center in Baquba General Hospital, and 40 blood samples for healthy women as a control group, and their same ages, during the period from the beginning of October 2021 until the end of December 2021. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the level of chemokine CXCL12 in women with breast cancer compared to the healthy women. Also, showed a significant increase in the level of malondialdehyde and nitric oxide, with a significant decrease in the level of Glutathione in the women with breast cancer woman compared to the healthy women.
Cancer, as we know it, refers to more than a hundred different types of malignant tumors that can be found in various tissues throughout the body., including breast cancer. Breast cancer is a life-threatening condition that can have a negative impact on women's self-esteem. The most frequent cancer is breast cancer non-skin malignant tumor and is a type of cancerous tumor that occurs in breast tissue. The current study involved evaluation the level of Galectin-3 and ferritin with liver enzymes in breast cancer women. The study contained the collection of 90 blood samples for women, and the samples were divided into 50 samples for women with breast cancer, their ages ranged from 40-70 years, the samples were collected from the Breast Cancer Center in Baquba General Hospital, and 40 blood samples for healthy women as a control group, and their same ages, during the period from the beginning of October 2021 until the end of December 2021. The findings revealed a considerable rise in the level of Galectin-3 in breast cancer women compared to healthy women.
The current study aimed to explicate the effect of preventative pill effect on the lipids levels and lipase activity. The study design included two groups each consists of thirty women; preventative pill group (women who were taking contraceptive pills) and control group (women who were not taking contraceptive pills), their ages ran between (20-40) year. Blood samples were collected for the period from 1/11/2019 to 3/1/2020. Results of this study showed that there was a significant increase in the levels of total cholesterol (TC), Triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoproteins-cholesterol (LDL-C) and very low-density lipoproteins-cholesterol (VLDL-C) in contraceptive pills group compared to control group, while there was a significant decrease in Lipase activity and high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) level in contraceptive pills group compared with control group.
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) it is a complex disease associated with metabolic disorders. The main aim of this study was to accurately estimate the concentration of Chemokine (6Ckine) and Chemokine Receptor Type 7 (CCR7) with some biomarkers in blood serum of T2DM patients and compare it with healthy control. Identical in gender and age ranged from (40-70) years, 60 diabetics and 30 healthy controls participated in this study of 6Ckine and CCR7 serum concentration was estimated by Enzyme Linked Immune Sorbent Assay (ELISA) technique. An 6Ckine and CCR7 were no different between patients and healthy control. Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) showed increased significantly in T2DM patients compared to healthy control, and insulin shows decrease significantly in T2DM patients compared to healthy control, and each for age and Body Mass Index (BMI) also increase significant between T2DM patients and healthy control. The conclusion of this study showed an increase in the level of Ox-LDL in patients compare with healthy control, no different between patients and healthy control in levels of both 6Ckine and Chemokine Receptor Type 7, decrease in insulin level in patients compare with healthy control.
