Kecenderungan tumpang tintih materi pelajaran sejarah di sekolah dewasa ini, baik antar jenjang pendidikan maupun antar kelas pada jenjang pendidikan yang sama menjadi fenomena yang selalu menarik untuk dikaji. Materi sejarah yang demikian tidak akan terjadi bila secara rutin dilakukan penyusunan learning continuum (LC) oleh semua kalangan terkait. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan model learning continuum keterampilan berpikir historis mata pelajaran sejarah SMA. LC keterampilan berpikir historis, menggambarkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta didik untuk menguasai keterampilan berpikir historis mulai dari keterampilan dasar hingga keterampilan yang paling tinggi pada pembelajaran sejarah SMA. Penelitian melalui dua tahap, yakni tahap pengembangan model LC dan tahap pengembangan instrumen yang disertai uji dengan coba terbatas. Data dianalisis dengan Partial Credit Model (PCM) menggunakan program QUEST. Hasil pengembangan aspek dan sub aspek LC keterampilan berpikir historis menghasilkan dua keterampilan yakni keterampilan dasar (basic skill) dan keterampilan penelitian sejarah (historical research capabilities). Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa tes terbukti fit dengan PCM. Reliabilitas tes uji coba baik, dengan koefisien alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,82.

This study was conducted to produce a model and instruments of historical thinking skills in the history subject at the senior high school (SHS) and to identify SHS students’ historical thinking skills. The study was conducted in two stages, namely model development and instrument development altogether with a small-scale tryout and a large-scale tryout. The test for each tryout consisted of six and five sub-test sets. Each test set contained 20 anchor items. The sample for each tryout comprised 1573 and 2613 testees. The data was analyzed by means of Partial Credit Model (PCM) using the QUEST program. The overall tryout results indicate that, based on the criteria for an INFIT MNSQ mean of 0.1 and a standard deviation of 1.0, the tests fit the PCM. The reliability coefficients of the tests for the tryouts are moderately good; the Cronbach’s alpha coefficients are, respectively, 0.65 and 0.54. The lowest score of historical thinking skills is -.352 and the highest is +1.21 in an ideal range of -4.0 to +4.0. In overall, the testees’ scores are not satisfactory. Only 5.89% of the testees are above the expected median.

Students studying history must possess chronological thinking skills to identify time order, calculate calendar time, understand timelines, and reveal historical continuity and change. A wide range of instruments and media is required to support the development of these skills. This research aims to create media timelines to help students enhance their chronological thinking skills. The research techniques employed were Research and Development (R & D) and the ADDIE development model. The ADDIE stage is broken down into three parts, namely, analysis, development, and implementation. The sample subjects consisted of expert teams as expert validators, history teachers, and Class XI students to assess the product's practicality and determine the effectiveness of the developed media. Expert validation questionnaire sheets, student and teacher response questionnaire sheets, and description exams were used to collect data. The descriptive analysis approach was used to define the level of media validity and practicality, while the N-Gain approach was used to determine the effectiveness of the media. The results of expert validation showed an average score of 4.44 in the very good category. The teachers’ and students’ response tests yielded average scores of 4.97 and 4.31, showing that the media timeline is practical for learning history. The N-Gain value of 68% further indicates that the students' capacity to think chronologically improved. Clearly, using the media timeline in history class to develop chronological explanation skills is feasible, practical, and beneficial.

Abstrak: Tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam sejarah bangsa Indonesia adalah hal yang masih menarik untuk dituliskan. Berbagai pro-kontra munculnya tokohtokoh tersebut tidak menyurutkan para perempuan modern untuk menjadikan tokoh-tokoh tersebut menjadi sumber inspirasi mereka. Kartini misalnya, yang selalu menjadi tokoh utama perempuan dalam sejarah Indonesia dan dijadikan pahlawan bangsa. Berbagai pendapat mengenai Kartini memang tidak ada salahnya, namun hal tersebut harus diluruskan dengan berbagai pendekatan sejarah baik secara tekstual maupun kontekstual. Selain Kartini, tokoh perempuan yang nantinya akan dijadikan sebagai komparasi yaitu Rahmah El Yunusiyyah. Kartini yang berasal dari Jawa, hampir semua kalangan masyarakat mengenal beliau, berbeda dengan Rahmah El Yunusiyyah yang berasal dari Minangkabau (Sumatera Barat) mungkin tidak semua kalangan yang mengenal beliau serta kiprahnya dalam sejarah bangsa. Namun, dua tokoh ini bisa dikatakan memiliki tujuan yang sama dengan ideologi yang berbeda dan nuansa budaya pun jauh berbeda. Di sinilah keunikan dari dua tokoh ini yaitu memiliki cita-cita dan tujuan yang sama yaitu menaikkan derajat kaum perempuan melalui pendidikan namun dengan pandangan yang sangat berbeda. Kata
