This study aims to analyze the effect of the marketing mix of traditional snacks on purchasing decisions. The research method uses multiple regression analysis. The population in this study is the millennial generation in Jakarta. While the sample amounted to 114 respondents. The results of the research partially all the variables of the marketing mix of traditional snacks consisting of product, price, place, promotion, physical facilities, people and processes have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. To reach a large market, traditional snacks must be followed by: (1) Good product quality includes appearance, variety, taste and texture; (2) Price affordability; (3) a strategic place to sell traditional snacks such as in traditional markets, cake shops, school canteens, and food stalls near homes; (4) Advertise traditional snacks on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter; (5) The cleanliness of the place to sell traditional snacks must be paid more attention (6) The service quality of people who sell traditional jayanan products must be better; (7) The processing of traditional snacks is modern so it takes a long time. The suggestion from this research is that the promotion of traditional snacks should be improved, especially in developing social media and traditional snacks innovations.
Packaging is one of the most important features of product and served as the sales promotion tools for a product. Packaging has a very important role because it is always related to the product being packaged and has a sale value and product image. The purpose of product packaging design training for a group of fisher women in Sungsang IV Village, Banyuasin District, South Sumatra, is to provide insight related to the design and form of packaging that make products more valuable and safer for the environment because the packaging materials are easily recycled. The method applied in this activity is presentation to introduce the form and packaging design. Then the demonstration method of good product packaging examples adapted to products produced by fisher women groups, followed by a discussion to analyze and compare other product packaging examples. The last method is evaluation by observing the results of the training. The participants seemed very enthusiastic and actively discussed the development of product packaging to be more valuable and environmentally friendly. Assistance will continue after this training activity. The work team consisting of lecturers and students from Trisakti School of Tourism will always be ready to guide and direct community who have product business in developing their products related to culinary.
Pengembangan desa wisata menjadi salah satu program pemerintah untuk menjadikan desa-desa tertinggal menjadi desa yang maju. Dalam perkembangannya beberapa desa yang memiliki potensi mulai berubah, namun jika tidak diadakan pemetaan potensi yang ada, akan menjadikan desa wisata dimana saja sama, tanpa ada kekhasan khusus. Potensi wisata yang luar biasa yang dimiliki Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai seharusnya bisa menjadi andalan untuk mengangkat taraf hidup masyarakat. Sektor pariwisata bisa menjadi sektor penopang pemasukan bagi pendapatan asli daerah. Di era yang semakin maju semakin pula banyak cara dan strategi untuk mengangkat potensi wisata di kabupaten dengan julukan bumi Sikerei ini. Salah satu potensi wisata yang dapat dikembangkan adalah souvenir yang dapat dibawa oleh wisatawan setelah mengunjungi kepulauan Mentawai. Tujuan dari pengabdian pada masyarakat ini mengenalkan potensi souvenir keranjang ayam mini berbasis kearifan lokal dan mengembangkan kreatifitas souvenir di Desa Matotonan dan Desa Muntei, Siberut Utara, Kepulauan Mentawai, Sumatera Barat. Para peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan membuat souvenir keranjang ayam mini di dua desa ini masing-masing berjumlah 25 orang per desa. Metode yang diterapkan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode presentasi dan demonstrasi. Kedua metode itu dilakukan untuk mengembangkan desain dan bentuk produk yang dapat diproduksi oleh masyarakat lokal dengan harga murah, pengerjaan mudah dan berbasis kearifan lokal. Diharapkan masyarakat dapat membuat souvenir keranjang ayam mini dan wisatawan dapat membeli souvenir tersebut sebagai kenangan setelah berkunjung ke kepulauan Mentawai.
