In this paper a low profile patch antenna has been designed for 5G communication application. The resonating frequency has been chosen as 3.5 GHz for 5G application. FR4 epoxy material with permittivity of 4.3 has been chosen for the substrate material which has fire redundant property. The size of the substrate is 25.2×48 mm2. The main radiating patch is in a shape of ellipse and the line feed technique is used. The simulation is done by CST microwave studio software. Different parameters like S-Parameter, Antenna Gain, Directivity, Efficiency has been observed. The antenna has a gain of more than 5 dB which is very useful for communication applications. The antenna is designed for 5G communication applications.
The aim of this paper is to present a simulation and analysis of a rectangular microstrip patch antenna with three different structural modifications to reduce the size of the antenna. We have tried to decrease the size of the antenna by inducing three different shaped slits inside the patch of the antenna. All these models have been designed and analyzed using CST Microwave Studio software. For designing the antennas, Flame Retardant 4 (FR-4 lossy) has been used as the substrate material with a dielectric constant of Ԑr=4.3. The antenna works at the frequency of 2.4 GHz. Performance characteristics such as return loss S11 parameter<-10 dB, directivity, side lobe level, gain and bandwidth of each of the modified designs are obtained and compared with the original design. We were able to reduce the size by maximum 18% and minimum 7% by only inducing the slits, while maintain the performance.
In this work, a gesture and motion sensing system is explored with the Nintendo Wiimote and infra-red LEDs array. With the eminent Nintendo Wiimote controller, the personal computers and terminals can be connected to the system easily via Bluetooth wireless communication system. Although there are many devices that can be used to track the gesture and motion, they are able to connect to another device easily. The developed system is capable of making different applications as the interfacing problem has resolve. C# programming language is used to develop the graphical user interface and the mathematical algorithm. In order to verify the developed system, the transition of presentation slide is tested. By adjusting the sensitivity and threshold via mathematical formula, the gesture and motion sensing system is working excellently.
In this paper, a design of Ultra Wide-Band microstrip antenna based on circular microstrip patch for solar cell is proposed. In solar antenna design, researchers used several types of substrates materials in constructing the antenna. Two types of substrates that analyze and study by the researcher are Polyimide and Poly (methyl methacrylate) polymer matrix substrates. For this specific research study, the designed and analyzed methodology is conducted using CST microwave studio software using two types of substrates which are polyimide (Lossy) with dielectric constant equal to εr = 3.5 and Poly(methyl methacrylate) polymer matrix with dielectric constant equal to ϵr = 4.9. This analysis is to compare the bandwidth performance of polyimide and Poly (methyl methacrylate) polymer matrix substrate that been use in solar antenna’s studies by many researches. For these types of research analysis, the aim of this study specifically to have a material that gives high performance in bandwidth. Choosing of suitable material as the substrates also one of the ways to improve the antenna design performances. Broader bandwidth will have the capability to transfer higher data rates. Performances characteristics of the microstrip circular patch antenna of each of the substrates materials designs are also obtained and compared.
This paper presented the analysis of element in designing a micro strip patch antenna. A single element of the circular patch antenna and 1x2 array elements of circular patch antennas were simulated, fabricated, measured, analyzed, and discussed in this work. Array configuration study is the essence of this research. In order to improve the performances of an antenna, the implementation of array configuration is one of the techniques in designing the patch antenna. Based on the results, it has been verified that an array configuration technique works in enhances and improves the patch antenna performances. This paper also discussed the fabrication process involves and comparison of performances between simulation and measurement.
This paper present the study at Received Signal Code Power (RCSP) and energy per chip divided by the total in-band interference (Ec/No) these parameters in order to provide good quality service to customers, mobile operator perform benchmarking project to monitor their quality of service which deliver to customer. The relation between these two parameters were discussed and proved from the drive test result at UNITEN vicinity. The method that used in this research was Network Planning Process and Data verification process. The fabrication and verification of data was done by using NEMO HANDY tools and HATA model. The aim is to carry out the test and research the Base Transceiver Station for mobile operation functionally and quality also collect the data and generate the report regarding the quality of voice call, call attempts, call fail, data network, attempt, data of RCSP and EC/No of the mobile operator. The result showed that the Telco B provide the best 3G service among the competitor and Telco D provide the 2G service compare the other operator. The relationship between RCSP and EC/No in path loss calculation is directly proportional to each other are proven. Besides that, it also proves that the terrain contour, site environment and antenna height will affect the throughput of the antenna transmitting power for mobile base station.
