Anthropometric profile and motor skill are dominant factors influencing the performance of volleyball players. The aim of the research was to know the anthropometric profile and motor skill of the club elite players. This study was a cross sectional study involving 45 men elite volleyball players of Universitas Negeri Semarang volleyball club. Anthropometric measurements included body weight, body height, and Body Mass Index. Motor skill tests included vertical jump, block jump reach, spike jump reach, medicine ball throw, and 20 feet sprint. The average of body height was 182.3 cm (without libero) and 182.1 cm (with libero). The average of BMI was 21.36. The average of motor skills was 70.2 cm (vertical jump), 311 cm (block jump reach), 321.3 (spike jump reach), 4.5 m (medicine ball throw), and 3.1 sec (20 feet sprint). The anthropometric profile and motor skill of Universitas Negeri Semarang volleyball players were lower than international players, but better than university student volleyball club players in Indonesia.
Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________Sebagai atlet Nasional bola voli haruslah memiliki kekuatan otot tungkai yang baik sehingga tinggi lompatan dapat maksimal membentuk serangan dan pertahanan dalam permainan. Meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dapat dilakukan dengan weight training salah satunya back dan front squat, sehingga dalam penelitian ini akan mencari jawaban mengenai 1) pengaruh latihan back squat dan front squat terhadap hasil vertical jump dan hasil lower body power index, 2) perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan back squat dan front squat terhadap hasil vertical jump dan lower body power index. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan memberikan weight training back squat kepada kelompok A dan front squat kepada kelompok B yang pembagian kelompoknya menggunakan metode ABBA berdasarkan hasil pre test vertical jump selama 16 kali pertemuan.Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh hasil kelompok A terhadap vertical jump sig(2-tailed) 0.058>0.05 yang berarti tidak memiliki pengaruh, dan hasil lower body power index yakni sig(2-tailed) 0.040<0.05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh. Pada kelompok B hasil vertical jump dan lower body power index ialah sig(2-tailed) 0.001<0.05 dan 0.003<0.05 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh pada hasil keduanya.Dari hasil analisa data penelitian dapat disimpulkan kedua latihan beban tersebut dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil lompatan dan kekuatan otot tungkai untuk atlet bola voli. Abstract ________________________________________________________________As a national athlete volleyball should have good leg muscle strength so high jump can maximize form attacks and defenses in the game. Improving the leg muscle strength can be done with weight training one of them back and front squats, s ehingga in this study will seek answers to questions about 1) the effects of exercise back squat and front squat on the results of vertical jump and the result of lower body power index, 2) differences in effect between workout back squat and front squat against vertical jump results and lower body power index. The method used is an experimental method to give back squat weight training to group A and front squat to group Bthe division of the group using a method based on the pre-test ABBA vertical jump during 16 sessions. The results based on the result of group A against vertical jump sig (2-tailed) 0.058> 0.05, which means no effect, and the result of the lower body power index sig (2-tailed) 0.040 <0.05 which means there is influence. In group B vertical jump results and lower body power index is sig (2-tailed) 0.001> 0.05 and 0.003 <0.05 which means there is an influence on the results of both. From the results of the research data analysis can be concluded both weight training can be used to improve the leap and strength of leg muscles for volleyball athletes.
Spike jump and block jump were characteristic movements of volleyball. These movement were determined by explosive power of leg, strength of musculoskeletal, length of lower limb and length of arm. Explosive power could be enhanced by plyometric exercise, like squat jump. The aims of study to analyse the role of squat jump exercise program on spike jump reach and block jump reach of junior volleyball athletes. Twenty-three junior athletes (male 11 and female 12) participated in pre and post-test experiment study. The squat jump exercise program was conducted three time a week, for along 7 weeks. The squat jump exercise involved squat jump, squat jumpwithbox,forearmpassingwhilesquatjumpandsquatjumpwithrunningtakeoff. The data were analysed by paired t-test to compare pre and post-test. The experiment resultedincreasingofspikejumpbothmen(p<0.001)andwomen(p<0.001).Increasing of block jump in men (p<0.001) and women (p=009). We concluded that squat jump exercise regularly effective to increase the spike jump and block jump reach junior volleyball athletes.
Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah ada sumbangan sumbangan daya ledak otot tungkai, kekuatan otot perut, dan kekuatan otot lengan terhadap jump service pada pemain bola voli putra klub bola voli Bhayangkara Muda Purwodadi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah pemain putra klub bola voli Bhayangkara Muda Purwodadi usia 15-18 tahun sebanyak 18 anak. Seluruh sampel dilakukan dengan pemberian tes dan pengukuran melalui unsur kebugaran jasmani. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rhitung sebesar 0,706. Uji keberartian korelasi tersebut dilakukan dengan cara mengkonsultasikan harga rhitung dengan r tabel product moment. Pada n = 5% dengan n = 18 diperoleh harga rtabel sebesar 0,444. Karena harga rhitung (0,706) lebih besar dari rtabel = 0,444. Uji keberartian dari koefisien korelasi nilai Fhitung = 4,644 dengan signifikansi 0,019 < 0,05. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini ada sumbangan daya ledak otot tungkai, kekuatan otot perut, dan kekuatan otot lengan terhadap jump service bola voli pada pemain bola voli putra klub bola voli Bhayangkara Muda Purwodadi Tahun 2021. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah bagi pemain dan pelatih klub bola voli Bhayangkara Muda untuk melatih daya ledak otot tungkai, kekuatan otot perut, kekuatan otot lengan, dan kemampuan jump service.

Fokus permasalahan adalah korelasi Multistage Fitness Test dan Harvard Test terhadap VO2 Max usia 20-23 atlet futsal Venus FC. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahuikorelasi Multistage Fitness Test dan Harvard Test terhadap VO2 Max usia 20-23 atlet futsal Venus FCtahun 2021. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel menggunakan total sampling yaitu usia 20-23 tahun yang berjumlah 25 orang. Teknikpengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Korelasi.Hasil penelitian ini adalah adanya korelasi Multistage Fitness Test dan Harvard Test terhadap VO2 Max usia 20-23 atlet futsal Venus FC tahun 2021, dikarenakan Multistage Fitness Test dan HarvardTest merupakan tes yang dapat meningkatkan dan mengetahui niai VO2 Max. Maka disimpulkanbahwa ada korelasi Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) dengan Harvard Test, dan menunjukkan kekuatankorelasi sedang antara Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) dengan Harvard Test.
This study aims to examine the recognition of the Meranti Island community for cultural values and explore several factors that influence the sustainable development of the traditional sports of tual sagu and golek sagu. The traditional sports of tual sagu and golek sagu are traditional sports typical of the Meranti Islands which until now need to get more attention from the local government. The traditional sports of tual sagu and golek sagu are not just entertainment and sports media, but more than that, these traditional sports are a local cultural heritage. Therefore, the government must carry out activities to optimize growth, such as facilities, infrastructure, and infrastructure to support the development of traditional sports. Participants involved in this study amounted to 10 respondents. Respondents are key informants who understand the object of the research. These informants include stakeholders, community leaders, sports activists, and observers of sustainable development. This study uses qualitative descriptions, interviews, and observations as the basis of the research method. Data is analyzed by word cloud analysis. The results of the study show that the three goals of sustainable development, namely media, resources, and sports facilities have a significant role in the development of traditional sports. Meanwhile, the factors that have a significant influence on the sustainability of the traditional sports development of tual sagu and golek sagu are infrastructure, such as ports, sports centers, and traditional sports venues as well as events and promotions, which are determining factors for the success of developing sustainable traditional sports in the Meranti Islands.
Purpose The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ballhandling height frequency and barrier training on the ability to lay-up shoot basketball, to determine the effect of high and low agility on the results of lay-up shoot basketball, the interaction between ballhandling training methods and agility in extracurricular participants at SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara and North Bengkulu State Vocational School 2. This research method is experimental with a 2x2 design. The research sample was 21 athletes taken by total sampling technique. The instrument for measuring agility uses the zig-zag run test. The instrument measures lay-up shoot ability using a basketball lay-up shoot test. The data analysis technique was two-way ANOVA at a significant level of α=0.05. The results showed (1) there was a significant effect of high-frequency ballhandling and barrier training on the ability to lay up shoot basketball, (2) there was a significant difference in the results of significant high and low agility exercises on the ability to lay up shoot basketball. (3) There is no interaction between ballhandling and agility in determining the result of a basketball lay-up shoot. Then there is a significant influence between the influence of ballhandling exercises, height frequency and training obstacles and agility on the ability to lay up shoot basketball in extracurricular participants at SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara and SMK Negeri 2 Bengkulu Utara.
High intensity of physical exercise in long period causes muscle damage. Muscle damage in physical exercise can occur due to muscle stretching followed by sarcomere disruption. Muscle damage can be detected by measuring several indicators or markers. Muscle protein efflux during severe physical activities signed by the increase of LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) and CK (Creatine Kinase). Many studies explained the effect of high intensity physical exercise in long period on muscle damage, but only few studies investigated the effect of high intensity exercise in short period. The purpose of research is to analyze the high intensity short period exercise on blood lactate and creatine kinase serum between elite and non-elite athlete. The post test only group design study was conducted to reach the aims of research. Seventy-five participants involved in this research and they were elite athletes (n=37) and non-elite athletes (n=38). The elite athletes were 24.71 ± 4.753 years old, while the non-elite athletes were 20.19 ± 1.619 years old. All participants perform Running -based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST) as a high-intensity short period exercise. The velocity of athletes was calculated for each running track. The blood for lactate level and creatine kinase (CK) measurement was taken as soon as they finished the RAST. The blood lactate level was 6.96 mmol/L (non-elite) and 5.5 mmol/L (elite). The serum level of CK was 241 (non-elite) and 198.8 (elite). Both of elite and non-elite CK level were higher than normal value. There was no difference in blood lactate (p=0.063) and serum level of CK (p=0.241) between elite and non-elite athlete. The conclusion was the blood lactate and CK serum level after high intensity short period increased higher than the normal value. There was not difference between elite and non-elite athletes, suggesting that the elite and non-elite athletes put in the same effort in performing and running the test. The recommendation of this research is that the high intensity short period exercise should be alternatively implemented to avoid muscle damage to athlete.
