The emergence of New Public Management (NPM) phenomenon creates a new discourse that attracts the attention of human resource management experts around the world, especially in Indonesia. To address this issue, this study tries to focus on how the performance of local government employees is influenced by several factors; namely, intelligence, leadership, quality of human resources, and NPM itself. The population of this study is government employees in the city of Makassar, Indonesia, and given the huge number, the sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The amount determined referred to the variance-based (or Partial Least Square) Structural Equation Analysis tool and obtained by 100 local government employees. Primary data collected through a questionnaire is processed with the assistant of Smart PLS. The results show that intelligence, leadership, and HR quality had positive and significant effects on NPM. The direct relationship also indicates the significance of constructs on performance, except intelligence, which directly has no significant impact on the performance of government employees. The NPM variable also significantly mediates the indirect effect between variables. This research is expected to enrich the treasury of knowledge in the field of human resource studies, and strategies for implementing the concept of NPM in the government environment.
Based on the type of research is an explanatory research that is used to describe the influence of motivation, competence and Islamic leadership on job satisfaction and teacher performance at 88 teachers Colleges in District South Halmahera in North Maluku province. The results of the analysis of SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with the help WaphPLS Ver. 5.0 provides evidence that working conditions that support teachers to implement the learning process becomes a lever entire relationship between the variables analyzed. Motivation and competence of teachers made a significant contribution to job satisfaction and performance, significant Islamic leadership on job satisfaction but not significant on teacher performance> job satisfaction proved to contribute significantly to the performance of teachers. On testing indirect effect, there is only one proven as a mediator variable
A structural model of total quality management, kaizen, operational performance on service quality and patient satisfaction.
ABSTRACTTests are the strength effect of total quality management (TQM), Kaizen and operational performance on service quality and patient satisfaction. The other part we will test is the service quality as a mediation role to explain the effect of total quality management (TQM), Kaizen and operational performance on patient satisfaction. This research was conducted in the city of Makassar with the entire population is a patient. By using the formula Slovin, found a sample of 398 respondents. Inferential statistical analysis was used to test the hypothesis of the research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study indicate that TQM, Kaizen and operational performance have been shown to contribute significantly positively on service quality and patient satisfaction. The role of service quality is proven to be a mediating variable in analyzing TQM, Kaizen and operational performance effect on patient satisfaction.
The approach in this study is an explanatory research that is used to describe the effect of the Islamic leadership and emotional intelligence on morale and performance employees. 91 employees at the Faculty of Faculty of Faculty of Education & Teacher Training and Faculty of Science & Technology of the Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar as a sample. Hypothesis testing is done using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with the WaphPLS Ver. 5.0 as research equipment. This study analyzes the influence of Islamic leadership, emotional intelligence on morale and performance of employees. The research proves that the Islamic leadership is a positive and significant effect on employee morale. The low of emotional intelligence cannot provide significant effect on the increase in employee morale. Islamic Leadership can make to improve employee performance. The low of emotional intelligence cannot provide significant effect on employee performance. The high employee morale and demonstrated by employees is now making a positive and significant effect to employee performance. Morale is significantly functioning as a mediating variable in explaining the Islamic leadership effect on employee performance. This study explores the relevance of organizational communication dimension to the performance of lecturers. The population in this study is all permanent lecturers at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Based on sampling techniques, the obtained sample of 97 permanent lecturers, but there are 14 data containing outliers, so that you can proceed to the analysis phase only 83 questionnaires. Hypothesis testing is done using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with WaphPLS Ver. 5.0 as research equipment was used to test the study hypothesis. The results of the study provide evidence that the quality of information media positive and significant impact on the performance of lecturers. Accessibility of information is good, resulting in an increase in the performance of lecturers. Information dissemination conducted by universities is relatively low, but significant effect on improving the performance of lecturers.
