A., ., 783-50 Jol l y C i l Josas RÉSUMÉ Des bilans minéraux (l', Ca, Mg, lv, Na) ont été effectues sur 6 agneaux de 2 S kg consommant seulement de l'ensilage de maïs (3 ,8 g de Ca et 2,1 g de l' par lcg de matière sèche) enrichi en urée mais sans complément minéral. Les pcrtes fécales endogènes de phosphore ont été déterminées par la méthode de dilution isotopique. Le coefficient d'utilisation digestive réelle du phosphore a atteint 7 o p. I oo tandis que 34P. 100 seulement du calcium ont été absorlés (tabl. i). Les quantités journalières retenues étaient de o, 39 g pour le calcium et de o,zo g pour le phosphore, valeurs environ trois fois trop faibles pour une croissance de y o g par jour. De même, l'apport de sodium a été insuffisant. Les pertes fécales endogènes de phosphore ont représenté 66 p. too des pertes fécales totales, soit 3 6 mri par kri de roicls vif et par jour. Cette dernière valeur est normale pour un régime à base de fourrage grossier, puisque l'élimination endogène intestinale de P dépend de la quantité de salive sécrétée. Cependant, cette perte est supérieure au strict besoin d'entretien, estimé à Zà-3 o mg de I' par lcg et par jour pour ce type
Deux expériences consécutives de bilans minéraux de 10 jours ont été effectuées sur 5 agneaux mâles pesant 30 kg environ et recevant un régime à base de pulpes de betterave et de manioc, pauvre en phosphore (i, 3 g par kg de matière sèche) et riche en calcium (io g par kg)_ La ration de base était enrichie en P provenant, soit du phosphate monosodique (aliment I), soit du phosphate monoammonique (aliment II). Un essai parallèle de dilution isotopique (après injection de 32 P) a été réalisé sur 4 animaux afin de déterminer les pertes endogènes fécales de P. Les pertes urinaires de P et de Ca sont toujours négligeables tandis que celles de Mg sont relativement importantes. Compte tenu de la quantité de phosphore fécal endogène (S g à 6o mg de P par kg de poids vif et par jour), le coefficient d'utilisation digestive réelle de P est de 6z p. ioo en moyenne pour les deux aliments. Cela indique une disponibilité intestinale du phosphore des phosphates de plus de 6 5 p. ioo, malgré la présence d'un excès de calcium alimentaire. L'utilisation digestive réelle du calcium est faible mais sensiblement plus élevée pour l'aliment II (21 p. l oo) que pour l'aliment 1 (14 p. 100). L'acidification due au phosphate monoammonique n'a pas d'effet négatif sur le métabolisme minéral puisque les bilans du calcium et du magnésium sont améliorés. L'efficacité biologique du phosphate mono-ammonique est donc au moins égale ou supérieure à celle du phosphate monosodique.
On étudie, par la technique des blocs, sur de jeunes taurillons normands, âgés au départ de 6 à 10 mois, les effets de l'ensilage, de la déshydratation (ioo-iio o c X 6 0 mn) et de la ventilation (air pulsé ambiant puis réchauffé de !-4!C) d'épis entiers de maïs récoltés à un stade immature avancé (traitements i et 2) puis mûr (traitements 3 et 4), supplémentés par des minéraux et de l'urée. Les mesures effectuées sont : a) la digestibilité de l'énergie et l'utilisation métabolique de l'azote et de certains éléments minéraux (Ca, P et Mg) en alimentation rationnée égalisée. b) la consommation de matière sèche et le gain de poids, en alimentation ad libitum. La digestibilité de l'énergie et l'utilisation métabolique de l'azote ne sont aucunement influencées par la nature du traitement technologique appliqué à l'épi de maïs. La qualité exceptionnellement bonne de l'ensilage de l'épi à un stade immature relativement avancé favorise l'efficacité métabolique de l'urée ajoutée aussi bien que la déshydratation ou la ventilation. Le degré de maturité et la déshydratation abaissent légèrement la rétention de calcium et de magnésium. Les niveaux d'ingestion de matière sèche et de croissance sont les plus hauts avec le produit ventilé et les plus bas avec l'ensilage.
