RÉSUMÉLa valeur du phosphate monoammonique (MAP) pour la protéosynthèse microbienne et l'influence de ce produit sur l'activité de la microflore du rumen ont été d'abord étudiés in vitro comparativement à l'urée. On a fait varier les facteurs suivants : proportion de l'azote non protéique apportée par le phosphate monoammonique ; pouvoir tampon du milieu de dilution et teneur en phosphore du milieu.Lorsque l'azote du phosphate monoammonique était substitué en totalité à l'azote de l'urée, l'utilisation de l'azote par la microflore du rumen était inférieure à celle obtenue avec l'urée. Deux séries de prélèvements ont été réalisées sur les 6 moutons utilisés précédemment comme donneurs d'inoculum ; ceux-ci étaient partagés en deux lots, l'un recevant l'aliment contenant le MAP, l'autre l'aliment contenant uniquement de l'urée. Alimentation, Essai n° i : les animaux recevaient au repas du matin !oo g du concentré pauvre en P additionné soit de 4 . 5 g d'urée, soit de 21 g de MAP, la quantité d'azote non protéique totale ainsi distribuée étant !,4 g dont 2 8 p. 100 sous forme de MAP. Les refus de concentré étaient introduits dans la panse par la fistule 3 o minutes après le repas.Essai n° 2 : la composition du concentré distribué au groups MAP a été modifiée de façon à apporter l'azote non protéique à raison de 2/3 par de l'urée et de 1/3 par du MAP. Cette ration étant inappétente, nous avons dû limiter l'apport de MAP à n p. 100 de l'azote non protéique. L'ingestion d'azote non protéique total par repas était alors de g, 3 g.
Deux expériences consécutives de bilans minéraux de 10 jours ont été effectuées sur 5 agneaux mâles pesant 30 kg environ et recevant un régime à base de pulpes de betterave et de manioc, pauvre en phosphore (i, 3 g par kg de matière sèche) et riche en calcium (io g par kg)_ La ration de base était enrichie en P provenant, soit du phosphate monosodique (aliment I), soit du phosphate monoammonique (aliment II). Un essai parallèle de dilution isotopique (après injection de 32 P) a été réalisé sur 4 animaux afin de déterminer les pertes endogènes fécales de P. Les pertes urinaires de P et de Ca sont toujours négligeables tandis que celles de Mg sont relativement importantes. Compte tenu de la quantité de phosphore fécal endogène (S g à 6o mg de P par kg de poids vif et par jour), le coefficient d'utilisation digestive réelle de P est de 6z p. ioo en moyenne pour les deux aliments. Cela indique une disponibilité intestinale du phosphore des phosphates de plus de 6 5 p. ioo, malgré la présence d'un excès de calcium alimentaire. L'utilisation digestive réelle du calcium est faible mais sensiblement plus élevée pour l'aliment II (21 p. l oo) que pour l'aliment 1 (14 p. 100). L'acidification due au phosphate monoammonique n'a pas d'effet négatif sur le métabolisme minéral puisque les bilans du calcium et du magnésium sont améliorés. L'efficacité biologique du phosphate mono-ammonique est donc au moins égale ou supérieure à celle du phosphate monosodique.
