The fulfillment of food needs is one indicator of community welfare. The calculation of the carrying capacity of food crops is used to determine the extent to which an area meets its food needs. The aims of this study were: (1) to calculate the level of carrying capacity of rice plants in Pati Regency, (2) to plan land that has the opportunity to be used as a LP2B area, and (3) to find out the maximum population and year in Pati Regency to meet food needs. The technique of analyzing the carrying capacity of rice plants uses the calculation of the carrying capacity of natural resources and the analysis of determining land that has the potential to become sustainable food cropland using an overlay map analysis with ArcGIS. The results showed that the value of the rice plant commodity had a carrying capacity value of more than 1, which was 1,371. The results of the map-making, the land that has the opportunity to be used as permanent rice fields is 50.635 hectares. The maximum population that can be met by annual rice production is 1.622.356 people. The results of population projections using the geometric method, the maximum year Pati Regency can be self-sufficient in food is 2040. The fulfillment of sustainable food needs can be realized through monitoring the implementation of the LP2B program so that the conversion rate of agricultural land can be minimized. The degradation of peatland ecosystem has been a mayor impact on the local environment as well as its surroundings such as fires, irriversible drying and dome collapse. This paper presents the application of satellite remote sensing dan GIS techniques to detect and identify peat forest healt in Kotawaringin Timur, Cental Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Mapping the spasial distribution of peat forest healt is important for making in land management and mitigation of peatland forest fires. This study uses the integration beetwen GIS software and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS satellite data to identify peatland healt using NDVI in Kotawaringin Timur Regency. This area were picked up as pilot project area for this research because these areas historically had many fire spots on last few years. The result data processing of landsat 8 satellite image shows that 116586,4 hectares of Kotawaringin Timur area is disturbed peatland. Base on the result of landsat 8 image processing data can be seen some areas of Kotawaringin Timur indicate green color means the peat area, and the health level of the peat forest in Kotawaringin Timur Regency is already in the damaged category. The food crop agricultural sector in Pati Regency in 2019 succeeded in producing more than 592 thousand tons of rice with a harvest area of 99,453 hectares (BPS, 2021). This achievement must be increased without overexploiting the land. Field data for 2020 shows a population of 1,324,188 people, a population growth rate of 0.58%. Farmers apply a sustainable agricultural system. These findings were analyzed using the calculation of the carrying capacity of agricultural land developed from population pressure (Soemarwoto, 1985). Furthermore, it is described as an explanation of the calculation results. The results showed that the carrying capacity of agricultural land in 2020 is worth 1.35, meaning that it can provide rice for its residents, even a surplus. Indicates high land productivity. Meanwhile, the prediction of the carrying capacity of agricultural land in 2030 will be 1.28 which indicates a decrease in value of 0.07 but it is still able to meet the food needs of the population. The application of the concept of sustainable agriculture by farmers needs to be carried out and supported by various policies from the local government so that the sustainability of agricultural conditions in Pati Regency is maintained.
Otonomi daerah sebagai hak, wewenang, dan kewajiban setiap daerah untuk mampu meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam mengelola potensi yang ada. Kondisi geografis Kabupaten Semarang yang strategis dengan potensi sumberdaya air melimpah serta banyaknya objek-objek wisata dapat mendukung peningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur perekomomian Kabupaten Semarang terhadap perekonomian Provinsi Jawa Tengah serta mengetahui sektor-sektor ekonomi unggulan dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Tipologi Klassen, Analisis Location Quotient, Analisis Model Rasio Pertumbuhan, Analisis Penyerapan Angkatan Kerja Sektoral dan Analisis Overlay. Hasil penelitian menyatakan Kabupaten Semarang merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang termasuk dalam daerah yang cepat maju dan tumbuh (high growth and high income) akan tetapi belum mampu mengoptimalkan sektor potensial secara maksimal dengan ditandainya setiap sektor potensial mengalami pertumbuhan rendah dengan ditandai dominasi nilai negatif RPs setiap sektor. Analisis LQ menyatakan sektor potensial di Kabupaten Semarang mencakup sektor industri pengolahan, sektor pengadaan listrik dan gas, sektor pengadaan air, pengolahan sampah, limbah dan daur ulang, sektor konstruksi, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor jasa keuangan dan asuransi, sektor real estate, dan sektor jasa perusahaan. Sedangkan hasil analisis MRP menyatakan seluruh sektor termasuk sektor tertinggal dan non potensial prospektif kecuali sektor pertambangan dan penggalian yang termasuk dalam potensial prospektif. Sektor potensial berproduktivitas tinggi sehingga melakukan penyerapan tenaga kerja yang tinggi adalah sektor industri pengolahan dan sektor lainnya seperti sektor pertambangan dan penggalian, sektor pengadaan listrik dan gas, sektor pengadaan air, pengelolaan sampah, sektor konstruksi, sektor transportasi dan pergudangan, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor real estate dan sektor administrasi pemerintahan, pertahanan dan jaminan sosial wajib.
