<em>Indonesian people's fruit consumption is still relatively low compared to other countries that do not have the resources to produce fruits. <strong>Purpose:</strong> this study was to determine the factors associated with fruit and vegetable consumption in elementary school students. <strong>Method</strong><strong>s:</strong> This research method uses a cross sectional design. The research population was all students in class V totaling 123 students and the study sample was 100 students who were determined using simple random sampling. This research was conducted in Negeri 1 Rajabasa Raya Bandar Lampung City. Data processing in this study was univariate and bivariate using the chi square test. <strong>Results:</strong> The results showed that the factors associated with fruit and vegetable consumption were preference (p = 0.001), knowledge (p = 0,000) and attitude (p = 000). The unrelated variable is the availability at home (p = 0.813). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Factors that increase consumption of fruit and vegetables in elementary school students are preference, good knowledge, and supportive attitude. Socialization needs to be done to increase knowledge about the benefits and effects of less consumption of fruit and vegetables, put up a poster media about the benefits and effects of less consumption of fruits and vegetables.</em>
<p><strong><em>Background:</em></strong><em> Stunting is still a public health problem. The prevalence of stunting in Lampung Province ranks sixth in Indonesia (42.6%). Stunting prevalence based on Nutrition Status Monitoring in 2016 in Pesawaran Regency ranks number four (35.1%). Nutrition student data collection results in Cipadang Village, 12 stunting toddlers (34.3%). </em><strong><em>Purpose:</em></strong><em> The study aims to determine the relationship between body weight and birth length with the incidence of stunting in toddlers. <strong>Method</strong></em><strong><em>s</em></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong><em> An analytical cross sectional research design was conducted in Cipadang Village, Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran District in 2018. The population was all children under five in the study area with a total sample of 103 people taken by random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by interview and observation to obtain data on the research variables analyzed, including the incidence of stunting, birth weight and birth length. Data analysis with univariate and bivariate analysis using chi square test. <strong>Results:</strong> The results showed the prevalence of stunting was 34.9%, LBW 24.3% and low birth length 31.1%. There is a relationship between birth length and birth weight with toddler stunting. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Birth weight and birth weight are risk factors for increasing stunting. Increased monitoring of toddler growth on a regular basis in the Posyandu and prevention of LBW should be done to prevent</em><em> stunting.</em></p>
Penerapan protokol kesehatan terbukti efektif untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19. Partisipasi masyarakat menjadi kunci utama untuk mencegah penyebaran wabah Covid-19. Adaptasi kebiasaan baru perlu didukung dengan pengetahuan yang benar. Oleh karena itu masyarakat perlu diberikan edukasi yang memadai tentang masalah Covid-19 dan upaya pencegahannya. Sosialisasi protokol kesehatan kepada aparat pemerintahan kelurahan yang diikuti dengan penyuluhan dan konsultasi bagi sasaran khusus merupakan salah satu metode yang layak dilakukan. Sosialisasi secara klasikal terbukti dapat meningkatkan secara signifikan pengetahuan aparat pemerintahan kelurahan sebesar 42,3% sedangkan penyuluhan informal dan berkala dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat sebesar 52,03%. Pemberian stimulus sarana pendukung pelaksanaan protokol kesehatan juga berkontribusi meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam melaksanakan protokol kesehatan.
World Health Organization (WHO) melaporkan bahwa terdapat 52% ibu hamil mengalami anemia di negara berkembang. Anemia pada kehamilan dapat menyebabkan dampak yang serius yang bisa terjadi pada saat hamil, bersalin dan postpartum. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil dalam mencegah dan menanggulangi anemia dan stunting. Penyuluhan ini dilakukan berisikan pengetahuan mengenai masalah anemia dan stunting, dampak, faktor penyebab, menu gizi seimbang pencegahan anemia dan tablet tambah darah. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan tentang anemia. Hasil yang didapatkan semua peserta meningkat pengetahuan dan kesadaran mengenai stunting dan anemia pada ibu hamil, terbentuk komitmen ibu hamil dalam pencegahan anemia dan stunting dan dukungan pihak pemerintah desa dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Diharapkan kegiatan serupa yaitu penyuluhan gizi rutin dilaksanakan oleh kader posyandu dan tenaga kesehatan.
Indonesia menghadapi tantangan yang kompleks masalah gizi dan kesehatan yang kemungkinan akan memburuk karena pandemi COVID-19. Anak dapat mengalami malnutrisi karena berbagai sebab yaitu penyebab langsung yaitu kurangnya asupan gizi dan masalah penyakit infeksi dan diperparah dengan kemiskinan yang luas, angka pengangguran, dan tingkat pendidikan yang rendah. Keluarga terdampak covid-19 yang jatuh miskin dalam waktu singkat akan mengalami dampak berat dalam hal keamanan pangan rumah tangga dan keterbatasan terkait akses, ketersediaan, dan keterjangkauan bahan makanan sehat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kepedulian seluruh civitas akademika Poltekes Tanjungkarang dalam meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya keluarga Balita Gizi Kurang Terdampak Covid di Kelurahan Kedaung. Kegiatan konseling gizi dilakukan terhadap 12 keluarga balita gizi kurang terdampak covid-19. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Keluarga balita sudah mengerti penyebab gizi kurang pada balitanya dan mampu mengatasi dengan pola asuh yang baik. Perlu pemantauan status gizi dan pendampingan gizi secara rutin oleh pihak puskesmas terutama bagi keluarga balita gizi kurang terdampak covid-19 oleh pihak puskesmas dan kelurahan kedaung
