The lack of Biology teaching materials in senior high school in the Kerinci District has promoted this research. The purpose of this development research is to produce e-modules as teaching materials used by students in Biology subjects. The model used in developing this e-module is the 4-D model, which consists of 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Biology e-modules on plantae and animalia material based on the potential of the Kerinci region were validated by media and material experts. The results of the media expert validation obtained the final percentage of 90% (very valid category) and the material expert validation obtained a percentage of 75% (valid category). From the results of the field test, the teacher responded that the e-modules produced were suitable for use in biology class X high school learning with a percentage of 92.5% (very good category). Furthermore, e-module trials on students obtained responses that the products produced were also proper to be used in biology learning in class X of senior high school. The small group test obtained a score of 85% (excellent category) and the large group test obtained score 78.3% (good category). The use of the developed e-modules in learning resulted in a score of 76.3% (successful category).
Lack of intake can cause disturbances in health, growth, mental and other functions such as cognitive abilities, the immune system and reproduction. This problem can be overcome by carrying out food fortification, namely adding certain types of nutrients to food ingredients. Fortification can be made from food ingredients such as coconut dregs and Patin bones. These materials can be processed into flour as a source of nutritious food. Coconut dregs has a fairly high protein content and Patin bones have a high calcium content that the body needs for the growth process. This study aims to make nutritious food fortification by utilizing the local potential of Patin bones and coconut dregs, then an analysis of the moisture content, ash content, protein content, fat content, carbohydrate content and fiber content is carried out. The results of the analysis showed that Patin bone flour was obtained and coconut dregs flour contained water content, ash content, protein content, fat content, carbohydrate content and fiber content respectively were 3.02%, 6.29%, 6.21%, 20.89%, 64.08% and 6.58%. From the results of this analysis it can be concluded that Cookies with the addition of Patin bone flour and coconut dregs flour has good nutritional content. This research is expected to be used as one of the food innovations to support attempt fulfill the micronutrient nutrition needed for the human body.
Permasalahan kesehatan yang dialami masyarakat RT 10 Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi menurut hasil data dari puskesmas yaitu hipertensi, yang sebagian besar diderita orang dewasa dan lansia. Buah mentimun dan tanaman seledri merupakan tanaman yang sangat mudah ditemukan terutama di RT 10 Pakuan Baru dimana kedua tanaman ini dapat digunakan sebagai obat herbal untuk mengatasi penyakit hipertensi. Mentimun mempunyai kandungan potassium, magnesium dan fosfor, sedangkan seledri mempunyai kandungan apigenin, flavonoid, kalsium, magnesium. Selain itu permasalahan lain yang ada di RT 0 Pakuan Baru didapatkan dari survei awal dimana langsung mewawancarai masyarakat RT 10 dan didapatkan hasil bahwa masyarakat banyak menderita penyakit asam urat. Sehinnga kedua penyakit ini dijadikan upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan di lingkungan masyarakat RT 10 Pakuan Baru. Metode pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan melakukan penyuluhan dan pembuatan produk serta pengecekan kesehatan terhadap tekanan darah dan asam urat. Hasil dari pengabdian yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit hipertensi dan asam urat serta terjadi penurunan kadar tekanan darah dan asam urat pada saat cek kesehatan terhadap masyarakat setelah dilakukan penyuluhan.
