The aim of this study is to examine the post-graduate theses on speaking skills between the years 2005-2016 in terms of various variables. Postgraduate theses about speaking skills have been evaluated according to the years, universities, sampling / study group, subjects and methods. The study group of the research has composed 72 theses including 54 graduate and 18 doctorate theses prepared on the speaking skills between the years 2005-2015. These theses can be reached in the electronic environment of YÖK (Higher Education Centre) Documentation Center. The research data have been collected by using the document review technique which is one of the qualitative research data collection methods. Research data have been analyzed by means of descriptive analysis. They have been evaluated by taking sub problems, and numerically expressed in a cute way. In the results of working; Most of the theses on speaking skills have been prepared in 2012, 2014 and 2015. It observed that the theses written in the field of speaking skills have been increased especially after 2012. It is determined that most of the postgraduate theses about speaking skills have been prepared at Gazi University, Ankara University and Dokuz Eylul University. In terms of the sample / study group, it has been found that the theses were consisted mostly of junior high and university students, which corresponds to half of the total postgraduate studies. Speaking skills have been handled with "teaching approach, strategy, methods and techniques" and the most preferred method of teaching and developing the speaking skill has been seen as the creative drama method. It has been determined that quantitative research method is used in most of the master's and doctoral theses. In recent years there has been an increase in the studies conducted with mixed methods. Although there has been an increase in the number of postgraduate theses in the field of speaking skills in recent years, it has been understood that research on speech skills is limited when compared with studies on reading and writing skills.Key Words: Turkish language education, speaking skills, postgraduate thesis.
