O trabalho foi conduzido no período de abril a novembro de 2012, em uma propriedade de produção leiteira, no município de Mariluz, Região Noroeste do Paraná, com o objetivo de avaliar a produtividade, a composição botânica e o valor nutritivo do capim Tifton 85 sobressemeado com aveia, na presença e ausência de irrigação. O delineamento experimental foi de blocos casualizados em parcelas sub-subdivididas, com 4 repetições. As parcelas foram sem e com irrigação. As subparcelas foram constituídas de sobressemeaduras de aveia: FMS 2, IAPAR 61, IPR 126 e um tratamento com o Tifton 85 exclusivo. Os ciclos de coleta compuseram as sub-subparcelas. A irrigação incrementou a produtividade da pastagem com média de 2760,4 kg ha-1 ciclo-1, com a maior relação folha/colmo de 2,8, aumentando a digestibilidade da matéria seca. Os valores de proteína bruta foram maiores no irrigado e na média do irrigado e não irrigado, diminuíram ao longo dos ciclos de coleta de 18,6 para 13,6%. As maiores produtividades foram obtidas por meio das sobressemeaduras das aveias FMS 2 e IPR 126. O Tifton 85 exclusivo apresentou o maior valor de fibra em detergente neutro e o menor valor de digestibilidade.

Summary The rice root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne graminicola, has been reported in Southeast Asia, China, India, South Africa, USA, Brazil, and other countries. Recent surveys in Southern Brazil showed that M. graminicola was widespread in irrigated rice in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná states, and the presence of a species complex with a predominance of M. graminicola (Est VS1 = G1) and other variants showing similar esterase phenotypes (Est G2 = R2, G3 = R3). Meloidogyne oryzae (Est O1) and M. ottersoni (Est Ot0) were also part of this complex and were recently re-described and detected on rice. The present study provides an integrative taxonomy approach of the typical and atypical populations of M. graminicola on the basis of morphological, morphometric and molecular data. Considering morphological and morphometric features, the two atypical populations (Est G2 and G3) are in close agreement with the description of M. graminicola. Based on the molecular characterisation, populations G1, G2 and G3 were successfully amplified by M. graminicola SCAR markers, although the specificity of these markers was questioned. Phylogenetic relationships complemented and confirmed the other studies. In maximum likelihood analysis of ITS, D2-D3 rRNA and COXII-16S rRNA sequences, all populations of M. graminicola from different esterase phenotypes clustered together with other M. graminicola populations, thus confirming that these enzyme phenotypes (G1, G2 and G3) are related to the same species. A high level of intraspecific variability was detected among all populations, but no correlation between genetic variability and geographic origins occurred.

RESUMO: O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a produtividade e a composição botânica do capim Tifton 85 na presença e na ausência de irrigação durante as quatro estações do ano. O experimento foi conduzido no período de novembro de 2012 a maio de 2013, em uma propriedade de produção leiteira, localizada no município de Mariluz, região Noroeste do Paraná. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi de blocos casualizados em esquema de parcelas subdivididas, com quatro repetições. Nas parcelas foram aplicados os tratamentos que consistiram no uso ou não da irrigação. As subparcelas foram constituídas das estações do ano: outono, inverno, primavera e verão. A irrigação incrementou a produtividade anual com 37603,1 kg ha-1 ano-1 de matéria seca e proporcionou obtenção de mais ciclos de coleta em relação ao não irrigado, não sendo observada produção de forragem na área com o tratamento não irrigado durante o inverno. O percentual de matéria morta foi menor em função do uso da irrigação. O verão foi a estação do ano com maior produtividade de matéria seca, com 13212,5 kg ha-1. Root-knot nematodes are responsible for significant tomato production losses and require taking integrated control measures. The aim of the current study is to evaluate the association between biological control and organic matter sources to Meloidogyne javanica control in tomato. In order to do so, two experiments were carried out under greenhouse conditions, in two different periods. Tomato plants were transplanted to pots and inoculated with 2,000 M. javanica eggs. Plants were treated with either Nem-Out™ or Compost-Aid ® biological control products, which were individually applied or in association with organic wastes such as poultry litter, filter cake, rice hull and coffee hull. Nematological and vegetative parameters were evaluated 60 days later. The treatments, except for Nem-Out™ + poultry litter and Compost-Aid ® + poultry litter, were efficient in reducing the number of galls. Treatment with Nem-Out™ + filter cake presented 83% gall reduction, whereas Compost-Aid ® + filter cake presented 98.5% reduction. The associations between Nem-Out™ + poultry litter and Compost-Aid ® + poultry litter did reduce the number of nematodes g -1 of root. Reduction in this parameter were observed for all others treatments, mainly when there was association between biological control (both, Nem-Out™ and Compost-Aid ® ) and organic wastes; the treatment with Nem-Out™ + coffee hull reduced by 96% the number of nematodes g -1 of root, whereas the one with Compost-Aid ® + filter cake reduced it by 97%. Most of the treatments have positively influenced the vegetative variables in comparison to the inoculated control.

Meloidogyne javanica and Pratylenchus brachyurus stand out among the main nematodes in soybean crops. Research on integrated management are often conducted, due to the low efficiency of the main control methods when they are applied alone. Thus, the aim of the present study was to assess the potential of biological control and plant nutrition products to control these nematodes in soybean. The effect of each product alone on nematode hatching and mortality was also assessed. A greenhouse experiment was also carried out, evaluating five doses of the product for biological control based on Bacillus and Trichoderma, with and without the presence of the product for nutrition, inoculated with 2000 eggs and juveniles for the gall nematode or 1000 specimens for the nematode lesions. After 30 days of multiplication, the aerial part was removed and the soil was revolved to receive the new sowing of the soybean with the respective treatments mentioned above. After 60 days, the experiments were evaluated for nematological parameters. Both products reduced hatching and increased nematode mortality. Treatments with biological control were efficient in reducing M. javanica and P. brachyurus, mainly when applied at doses close to 5 and 8 kg ha-1, respectively. The nutrition product negatively influences the biological control.
