Considerando o interesse cada vez maior dos educadores pela teoria sócio-histórica de Vygotsky, o presente texto propõe-se a abordar três conceitos centrais de sua teoria, entendidos como aqueles que mais podem respaldar a prática pedagógica do professor. São eles: a) Zona de Desenvolvimento Próximo (ZDP); b) Mediação; e, c) Linguagem. O objetivo é sinalizar as possíveis contribuições desses pressupostos para o trabalho cotidiano de sala de aula, sem esquecer que a transposição não ocorre de forma linear: faz-se necessário derivar de teorias de desenvolvimento teorias de aprendizagens para, a partir delas, elaborar uma teoria de ensino. Isso requer predisposição para rever velhas crenças e enfrentar a difícil tarefa de construir o novo. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: desenvolvimento. Mediação. Linguagem e prática pedagógica.
RESUMO:O presente texto aborda o processo de formação continuada de professores, com objetivo de analisar as relações existentes entre a continuidade e a prática pedagógica, entendida não apenas como procedimento didático, mas também como ação que compõe o processo educativo e, portanto, tem um significado científico, social e político mais abrangente. Nesse sentido, partiu-se do princípio de que, para ressignificar o fazer pedagógico, faz-se necessário rever as práticas de ensino à luz de concepções críticas de homem, mundo e educação. A modificação da ação desprovida dessas concepções pode resultar na troca de um procedimento didático por outro, de forma mecânica e fragmentada. A prática de ensino não é um terreno de aplicação de metodologias neutras e vazias, desconectadas de significado político, histórico e social, portanto, o professor precisa ter uma atitude reflexiva em relação às suas ações e as condições que a influenciam.
