É uma pesquisa qualitativa. Utilizou-se a entrevista a partir da questão norteadora: Por que você nunca tinha realizado o exame preventivo anteriormente? A técnica da análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin foi utilizada para a análise das descrições. As mulheres demonstraram desconhecimento do câncer, da técnica e da importância do preventivo. Revelaram ainda medo na realização e resultado do exame. A vergonha e o constrangimento foram sentimentos expressados por elas pela exposição da intimidade a que se submetem. Expressaram ainda possuírem valores culturais que dificultam mudança de atitude. O acesso ao serviço, ter emprego e filhos também foram relatados como impedimento. Os resultados mostram a importância de ações educativas sobre a necessidade do preventivo ao iniciar as atividades sexuais e desmistificar a técnica e resultado. Es una investigación cualitativa, se utilizó la entrevista con la cuestión guía: ¿Por que nunca había usted realizado el examen preventivo anteriormente? La técnica del análisis de contenido propuesta por Bardin fue utilizada para el análisis de las descripciones. Las mujeres demostraron desconocimiento del cáncer, de la técnica y de la importancia del preventivo. Revelaron aun miedo en la realización y resultado del examen. La vergüenza y reparo fueron sentimientos que expresaron por la exposición de la intimidad a la que se someten. También dijeron poseer valores culturales que dificultan un cambio de actitud. El acceso al servicio, tener trabajo e hijos también fueron relatados como impedimento. Los resultados muestran la importancia de acciones educativas sobre la necesidad del preventivo al iniciar las actividades sexuales y desmitificar la técnica y resultado. The scope of this study was to analyze child healthcare in the Family Healthcare Program (FHP) in Teixeiras, MG, Brazil. A descriptive transversal study was conducted by applying a questionnaire to 161 mothers of children under 2 years of age. A specific score system was used to analyze the dimensions of structure, process and result and the respective attributes, classifying the town in the incipient, intermediary and advanced categories. The FHP was classified in the intermediary (49.6%) category, characterized by fragmented child healthcare, though with some advances in the organization of care for this group. The physical installations, the quality of care given to control of diarrhea and respiratory infection, community participation and interdisciplinarity were considered incipient. Progress was seen in receptivity to the program, though the scant preventive and promotional activities of the FHP means that it is viewed as an annex to the hospital and merely another place for medical care. The activities of the FHP in child healthcare are not in line with the proposal for reorientation of the hegemonic healthcare model for which it was created, thereby hampering disease prevention strategies and the promotion of healthcare.
The results indicate that the concept of quality of life is subjective, tied to personal values and influenced by the repercussions of the health-disease process. In addition, they can guide actions based on interdisciplinary assistance aimed at the real needs of these patients.
Objectives:to compare the quality of life and religious-spiritual coping of palliative cancer care patients with a group of healthy participants; assess whether the perceived quality of life is associated with the religious-spiritual coping strategies; identify the clinical and sociodemographic variables related to quality of life and religious-spiritual coping. Method:cross-sectional study involving 96 palliative outpatient care patient at a public hospital in the interior of the state of São Paulo and 96 healthy volunteers, using a sociodemographic questionnaire, the McGill Quality of Life Questionnaire and the Brief Religious-Spiritual Coping scale. Results:192 participants were interviewed who presented good quality of life and high use of Religious-Spiritual Coping. Greater use of negative Religious-Spiritual Coping was found in Group A, as well as lesser physical and psychological wellbeing and quality of life. An association was observed between quality of life scores and Religious-Spiritual Coping (p<0.01) in both groups. Male sex, Catholic religion and the Brief Religious-Spiritual Coping score independently influenced the quality of life scores (p<0.01). Conclusion:both groups presented high quality of life and Religious-Spiritual Coping scores. Male participants who were active Catholics with higher Religious-Spiritual Coping scores presented a better perceived quality of life, suggesting that this coping strategy can be stimulated in palliative care patients.
The experience of menopause is increasingly present, and demand strategies to improve the quality of life of women during this period. This research aimed to evaluate the quality of life for women in the climacteric phase, with or without the use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT). This is a longitudinal epidemiological study of a sample of 99 women per group. It was evaluated the sociodemographic, clinical and behavioral characteristics. It was used the Menopause Rating Scale (MRS) and the Medical Outcomes Study 36-item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36). For data analysis, it was used the Student t test, chi-square and Tukey. HRT users had an average age of 50.76 ± 3.63 years, and nonusers of 48.95 ± 6,27anos (p = 0.01). It was identified a higher frequency of moderate climacteric symptoms of mild intensity. The social aspects evidenced scores below 50 for the two groups. There were differences between groups with respect to the components of the SF-36 and MRS to general health, functional capacity, lower capacity, depression, insomnia and vasomotor phenomena.
Resumo O preparo pedagógico do docente da área da saúde, diante das exigências da educação contemporânea e das diretrizes curriculares nacionais, tem relação direta com a formação de profissionais para atender às necessidades do Sistema Único de Saúde. Fundamentado nessa premissa, este estudo buscou analisar perfil de formação, bases da ação e planejamento pedagógico do docente de enfermagem orientador de estágio em Saúde Coletiva de instituições de ensino superior de dois municípios do centro-oeste paulista, à luz das políticas públicas de educação e saúde. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo, modalidade temática. A análise empreendida apontou que a prática pedagógica dos 11 docentes entrevistados sofria influência da cultura institucional da educação superior brasileira. As atividades rotineiras estavam calcadas em conteúdos das ciências biológicas, organizados sob a égide da assistência de enfermagem; na exposição oral e reprodução de técnicas biomédicas; na desarticulação entre teoria e prática e no isolamento do trabalho docente. Concluiu-se que as competências docentes nas dimensões educacionais, organizacionais e relacionais precisam ser ampliadas em direção ao planejamento da ação pedagógica, aproximando-se dos referenciais teóricos e filosóficos do SUS e da educação contemporânea, em busca de uma prática integrada, coletiva, democrática, promotora da saúde e da qualidade de vida.
This article aimed to describe and analyze the training process of health community agents (HCA) by family health strategy nurses. It is a qualitative research with 17 individuals. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews and the analysis was made through the data analysis technique. A category was established: The organization of the educational process in the family health units, in which the themes selected were: nurses as reference team leaders, permanent education, traditional methodologies and education centered on the HCA needs. Through this study we were able to understand that the nurses have less familiarity with permanent education, performing HCA capacitating activities based on traditional teaching methodologies. Investments for capacitating nurses in permanent education are required to allow them to teach HCAs better.
