Card Index of the First Ethnolinguistic Dictionary in the History of Polish LinguisticsThe paper describes the card index of J. Karłowicz’s ethnolinguistic dictionary, identified in 2017 and currently held at the Archive of Science of Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cracow. The aim is to discuss the contents of the index against the background of the achievements of contemporary Slavic ethnolinguistics and its two greatest accomplishments: Słownik stereotypów i symboli ludowych (ed. J. Bartmiński) and Славянские древности (ed. N.I. Tolstoj).
S ł o w a k l u c z o w e: socjolekt przestępczy, polszczyzna przedwojennego Lwowa. STRESZCZENIEArtykuł dotyczy socjolektu przestępczego polszczyzny przedwojennego Lwowa. Podstawą materiałową jest tu niepublikowany wcześniej rękopis S. Udzieli z r. 1892 pt. Żargon złodziejski we Lwowie. Większość wymienionych autorów miała zawodową styczność z przestępczą odmianą polszczyzny: Kurka, Ludwikowski i Walczak byli policjantami, Stępniak był milicjantem, zaś Szaszkiewicz -psychologiem sądowym.
