RESUMOO objetivo deste artigo é analisar a efetividade da implementação de políticas de estímulo à diversidade em filiais brasileiras de uma empresa multinacional. Foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo baseada em documentos oficiais e entrevistas com empregados representantes de minorias e de não minorias nos escritórios da empresa, no Rio de Janeiro e em São Paulo, material tratado por meio da análise do discurso. Os resultados sugerem contradições entre os discursos e as práticas adotadas, o que possivelmente se deve a arraigados processos de preconceito por parte dos próprios empregados, a certa permissividade no nível gerencial e a um direcionamento das políticas de estímulo à diversidade e inclusão, mais voltadas para o mercado do que para as demandas da sociedade. Pointed to as a means of insertion into increasingly competitive labour markets, entrepreneurship has become an ideology of the ‘new capitalist spirit’ that needs to be questioned. Our prime objective here is to identify what orders of discourse are emerging from existing entrepreneurial discourse within Junior Enterprises in Brazil, assuming that, the interdiscursive relations regarding this subject do ideologically contribute to the construction of the contemporary capitalist enterprise as the only possible model for the generation of wealth in society. We carried out a qualitative survey that was epistemologically orientated by interpretivism, and methodologically orientated by critical discourse analysis. In addition, 60 interviews were carried out with students and professors, which allowed the identification of three orders of discourse: (1) a consensus regarding the centrality of companies in terms of thinking and acting of a given individual in the world; (2) the exemplarity of the neoliberal capitalist entrepreneurial model and (3) the absence of feasible alternatives for the contemporary capitalism model. The conclusions problematize the hegemonic discourses on entrepreneurship suggesting that high education has been less of a human emancipation tool and more of a capital reproduction mechanism.

RESUMOO objetivo desse artigo é descortinar as manifestações da cultura organizacional em uma organização de caráter público, tendo a questão do foco no cidadão um papel preponderante na análise, para isso particularmente destacando as relações existentes entre a cultura da organização e as normas burocráticas. Mediante uma estratégia de pesquisa qualitativa, foram realizadas trinta entrevistas em profundidade com funcionários de uma universidade pública para identificar os principais aspectos do trabalho. Os resultados encontrados revelam que a lógica burocrática é responsável por uma dinâmica complexa entre os funcionários e a organização, com reflexos perceptíveis sobre a cultura da organização, que apresenta significativa influência das normas internas.Palavras-chaves: cultura organizacional; burocracia; cidadão; nova administração pública. ABSTRACTDealing to discover the manifestations of organizational culture in a public organization, the paper has the intention, having the focus on citizen a main role in the analysis. It is emphasized particularly the existing relations between culture of organization and bureaucratic rules. By a qualitative approach, thirty interviews in depth were realized with employees of a public university to identify the main aspects of this work. The results show that the bureaucratic logic is responsible for a complex dynamics between the employees and the organization, with perceivable consequences on its organizational culture, that presents strong influence of the internal norms.

The potential of Gafanhoto Park as an American cutaneous leishmaniasis (ACL) focus was evaluated by examination of sand ßy vectors of the Leishmania parasite. This forest remnant is located in a periurban area of Divinó polis, Brazil, where autochthonous cases of ACL have been reported. Sand ßy populations were monitored over a 2-yr period (2006 Ð2008) by using light traps (HP and Shannon). During systematic collections with HP traps, 824 specimens in total (342 males and 482 females) of 21 species were captured. Most prevalent species were as follows: Brumptomyia brumpti (Larrouse), Lutzomyia aragaoi (Costa Lima), Lutzomyia lutziana (Costa Lima), Lutzomyia sordellii (Shannon & Del Ponte), and Lutzomyia whitmani (Antunes & Coutinho). Using Shannon traps, 257 specimens representing 15 species were collected (159 females and 98 males), with a high prevalence of L. whitmani and Lutzomyia neivai (Pinto), both vectors of Leishmania braziliensis (Vianna). To ascertain the level of natural infection, a sample of females captured in Shannon traps was assayed for the presence of Leishmania by using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism, where 39% of insects were positive. The most infected species was L. whitmani (29 sand ßies; 18.2%), followed by L. neivai (21; 13.2%), Lutzomyia christenseni (Young & Duncan) (Þve; 3.1%), Lutzomyia pessoai (Coutinho & Barreto) (three; 1.9%), L. aragaoi (one; 0.6%), Lutzomyia fischeri (Pinto) (one; 0.6%), Lutzomyia lenti (Mangabeira) (one; 0.6%), L. lutziana (one; 0.6%), and Lutzomyia monticula (Costa Lima) (one; 0.6%). The Þnding of potential and incriminated vectors naturally infected with Leishmania reinforces the need of epidemiologic surveillance in the area.

n this paper we deal with forms of moral violence at work involving male homosexuals in the Distrito Federal, (Brazil). We interviewed Brazilian gay workers to register their life histories and their reports of discrimination suffered because of their sexual orientation. The collected data underwent content analysis under two main categories: life in society and life in organizations. The main results reveal the existence of an explicit and non-explicit moral violence context, and of omission by the upper hierarchy as regards these practices. We conclude that this study contributes to an understanding of moral violence at work, showing the need for organizations to work on the prevention and combat of discrimination at any level.

Natural infections with Leishmania were found in females of the phlebotomine sand flies Lutzomyia neivai (Pinto) (= Nyssomyia neivai) and Lutzomyia sallesi (Galvão & Coutinho) (= Evandromyia sallesi) (Diptera: Psychodidae) from Lassance, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Promastigotes were found in the pyloric region of the former species and in the abdominal midgut of the latter species. Insects found to be infected by microscopic examination were macerated in saline solution and inoculated into hamsters. Subsequent analysis by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism revealed both isolates to belong to the species Leishmania infantum chagasi Cunha & Chagas.
