El presente estudio explora la caracterización discursiva de las humanidades en el Modelo Educativo para la Formación Integral de una Universidad Autónoma, enfocándose en los procesos de interdiscursividad y las condiciones de posibilidad de emergencia de los discursos que se hallan en el documento en el que se sustenta dicho Modelo, además de considerar los paratextos pertinentes para realizar el análisis. Se parte del objetivo de analizar los elementos discursivos del Modelo en torno a las humanidades, a través del establecimiento de las intencionalidades, cargas ideológicas, fines, controles y condiciones que hacen que determinado discurso se configure de la manera en la cual lo hace. Para llevar a cabo este trabajo, se utilizó el análisis del discurso, donde las categorías fueron las condiciones de posibilidad, formaciones social-ideológica-discursiva, los procesos de interdiscursividad y las relaciones de discurso y coyuntura. Los resultados del análisis de las categorías revelan que el Modelo Educativo analizado, pone especial énfasis en elementos de carácter económico en su configuración, interiorizando las tendencias de la educación, presentes en la conformación de los currículos y a su vez, en los discursos educativos.
Resumen La ambigüedad del concepto de calidad educativa ha puesto de manifesto la necesidad de estudiar el origen del mismo en un contexto mucho más amplio que el educativo. El presente trabajo establece ese marco referencial histórico que antecede y explica la utilización de este concepto, para enfatizar su naturaleza económica y su consecuente inserción en la política educativa.
