Até o ano de 1940, as doenças infecciosas eram uma das principais causas de morte no Brasil. Atualmente, apesar de um grande declínio, a mortalidade ainda é elevada em relação a países desenvolvidos e a outros países da América Latina. Dessa maneira, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi relatar as alterações fi siológicas em condições específi cas, as consequências na farmacocinética dos antimicrobianos e ainda o impacto do ajuste de dose em tais situações. Realizou-se uma revisão narrativa de artigos publicados sobre a utilização de antimicrobianos nas seguintes situações: doença crítica e sepse, alcoolismo, tabagismo, extremos de idade, obesidade, nutrientes, polimorfismo genético, gravidez e lactação, insuficiência cardíaca, insuficiência hepática e renal. Observou-se que as alterações fisiológicas em tais situações afetam a farmacocinética dos antimicrobianos, modificando os processos de absorção, distribuição, metabolismo e excreção, os quais dependem muitas vezes da natureza do fármaco, podendo requerer ajuste de dose. Pôde-se concluir que as alterações observadas reduzem a precisão de uma dose terapêutica eficaz, evidenciando, dessa maneira, a importância do ajuste de dose.
O campo educacional brasileiro, nos anos 1950, era favorável à iniciativas de renovação do ensino secundário e, nesse contexto, as classes experimentais integravam a clave das inovações pedagógicas pretendidas. No estado de São Paulo, o surgimento dessas experiências contou com as ações de Luis Contier, que, após estagiar no Centre International d´Études Pédagogiques, em Sèvres, onde circulava a matriz das Classes Nouvelles, implantou o ensaio em um instituto estadual, à margem da legislação vigente. O corpus empírico é composto por documentos brasileiros e franceses: periódicos; documentos oficiais; relatórios; relatos e documentos de ex-alunos/as e ex-professores/as. Utiliza-se os conceitos de apropriação e circulação, de Roger Chartier; tática e estratégia, de Michel de Certeau, e campo, de Pierre Bourdieu.
Resumo Nos debates educacionais ocorridos após o fim da ditadura Vargas, ganha relevo a temática do Ensino Secundário, visto como essencial para articular o processo de escolarização com o desempenho de ofícios, tarefas ou papéis sociais. Neste sentido, o presente artigo visa, a partir de noções como redes de sociabilidade e capital social, situar a figura do educador Luis Contier como um intelectual da educação que contribuiu, de forma pioneira, para a renovação do ensino público secundário no estado de São Paulo nesse espaço-tempo, via projeto das Classes Secundárias Experimentais. Para tanto, será dada ênfase à sua dimensão intelectual, elucidando as redes e instituições das quais participou, a partir da análise de fontes documentais de seu acervo pessoal.
Este artigo analisa como ocorreu a expansão do ensino secundário no estado de Santa Catarina de 1942 (Reforma Capanema) a 1961 (LDB), considerando as redes privadas e o ensino público. Para tanto, adota a perspectiva de Pierre Bourdieu que concebe o espaço social formado por campos e subcampos, constituídos por leis, jogos e capitais específicos. Assim, o ensino secundário é considerado um subcampo que integra o campo educacional catarinense. Constata que, de 1942 a 1961, o ensino secundário catarinense teve uma expansão inédita devido ao aumento dos colégios católicos, à fundação de educandários luteranos, ao oferecimento de cursos ginasiais e colegiais pelo governo estadual em escolas normais e institutos de educação. O subcampo do ensino secundário em Santa Catarina, portanto, foi marcado pela privatização dominada pela rede escolar católica.
