BIOGEOGRAPHIC DISTRIBUTION OF SIX NATIVE FRUIT SPECIES IN LORETO, PERU. A MODELING AND SIMULATION APPROACH TO 2020 USING DIVA-GIS ABSTRACTThe purpose this study was to generate maps of biogeographic distribution potential in Loreto region, of six native fruit species: Garcinia macrophylla Mart. (charichuelo liso), Garcinia madruno (charichuelo rugoso), Oenocarpus bataua Mart (ungurahui), Plinia clausa (anihuayo), Spondias mombin L. (ubos), Theobroma subincanum Mart. (cacahuillo), using 888 georeferenced records and testing four climatic scenarios: present, present with physical variables (physiography, geology and geomorphology); future to 2020 and future with physical variables. Current climatic variables correspond to WorldClim Global Climate and future variables to CCM3 model. The biological registers are from lowland forests of rivers such as Tigre, Huallaga, Pastaza, Nanay, Amazonas, Napo, Marañón and Ucayali; and disturbed along the Iquitos-Nauta road. On this last area, the spatial distribution model shows the highest concentration of collected records (33.78 %). Potential areas, obtained by modeling and simulation in a present climatic scenario are reduced by up to 54.77 % (Oenocarpus bataua) in a fut...
