Trata-se de um artigo de revisão bibliográfica que aborda a importância de mercados alternativos, possibilitando a construção de um sistema agroalimentar sustentável, partindo de políticas públicas como o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar -PNAE. Seu objetivo é abordar a possibilidade do uso de Plantas Alimentícias Não Convencionais (PANC) na alimentação escolar como forma de mercado sustentável. Neste contexto, o artigo faz um parâmetro da agricultura familiar tradicional à moderna, destaca os problemas relativos ao sistema hegemônico de produção e distribuição de alimentos, discutindo as inter-relações com a agricultura familiar e com os circuitos locais de comercialização e a valorização da biodiversidade na alimentação. Além de apresentar uma argumentação favorável ao desenvolvimento rural sustentável. Como resultado tem que, a aproximação da agricultura familiar de programas caracterizados pelo consumo regular de alimentos, como o PNAE, pode ser uma alternativa viável para a resiliência de sistemas alimentares atuais e na rentabilidade do pequeno produtor, valorizando desta forma, as práticas agroalimentares locais e os cultivos diversificados. Recomenda-se a realização de estudos que avaliem como se dá a inclusão das PANC no PNAE no sentido da estruturação dessa cadeia produtiva e na diversificação dessas plantas para comunidades.
Este artigo é uma revisão sistemática a partir de análises textuais sobre os percalços da educação do campo para o desenvolvimento sustentável. Para isso, realizou-se uma pesquisa dos artigos disponíveis na plataforma ERIC (Education Resources Information Center). Foram encontrados 20 artigos a partir da busca com as palavras-chave. Para discussão dos artigos foi realizado uma categorização temática, quais sejam as categorias: histórico, inclusão social, políticas e reformas, inovações, parcerias e práticas de educação, trabalho x educação, relação sujeito x campo, ruralidade e ações extensionistas; a partir das dimensões do desenvolvimento sustentável. Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de desenvolver projetos e ações específicas para a realidade do campo e deixa claro a importância do educador em entender as contradições sociais e econômicas que os atores do meio rural enfrentam, com a análise e superação dessas contradições é possível pensar em um desenvolvimento para educação do campo. Como contribuição do estudo se apresentam parâmetros e lacunas em relação a educação do campo e o desenvolvimento sustentável.
A aquisição de alimentos diversificados e locais tendo como foco o desenvolvimento rural sustentável está entre as diretrizes do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar. De ampla aplicação culinária, alta adaptabilidade e baixo custo de produção, a ora-pro-nóbis (Pereskia aculeata Mill.) é uma Planta Alimentícia Não Convencional nativa brasileira com elevado teor de aminoácidos essenciais, fibras, ferro e carotenoides, sendo considerada uma alternativa para a melhorara da qualidade nutricional, da valorização da biodiversidade e do incentivo à agricultura familiar local. O estudo de caráter exploratório tem por objetivo analisar o potencial desta representante da biodiversidade brasileira a partir de uma ação de Educação Alimentar e Nutricional à alunos de 8 a 10 anos de uma escola de Capitão Leônidas Marques – PR. Um questionário semiestruturado foi utilizado para avaliar a aceitabilidade da ora-pro-nóbis (Pereskia aculeata Mill.) na alimentação e o conhecimento a respeito de plantas alimentícias não convencionais. A ação envolveu quatro receitas pré-estabelecidas com uso desta planta e o retorno dos alunos quanto a prática proposta, indicou boa aceitação das preparações. A natureza esta a nossa volta, cabe a nós percebê-la e dar seu devido valor, com isso, este estudo abre portas para o mundo de espécies subutilizadas e tradicionais com potencial alimentício disponíveis na biodiversidade. Temas como este contribuem para o rompimento da monotonia alimentar, transformação dos sistemas alimentares e promoção da Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional da população.
