Research has been conducted to investigate the influence of the Science Technology Society (STS) learning model which is assisted by social media Facebook (FB) in science learning. This research was conducted in a group of junior high school students in Tondano, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research method is a Quasi-Experiment Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The experimental group was treated with the STS learning model assisted by FB, and the control group with lectures, discussions, question, and answer. The number of samples in the experimental group consisted of 25 students and the number of samples in the control group was 25 students. The results of the statistical analysis concluded that there was an influence of the STS learning model with the help of Facebook social media on improving student learning outcomes in science learning in junior high school students. The research data showed that the average post-test score of student learning outcomes in the experimental group was 88.5 higher than in the control group score was only 68.9. The implication of the research results is that the use of Facebook social media in the learning process will make teachers and students interact not only in the classroom. In addition, the STS learning model arouses students’ interest in science learning, especially related to strengthening scientific literacy
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Melonguane. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi experimental design yaitu nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Melonguane tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dan sampel penelitian ini terdiri atas 2 kelas, yaitu kelas VIIIA dengan jumlah 15 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIB dengan jumlah 14 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian hasil belajar berupa tes hasil belajar berbentuk essay yang berjumlah 9 item soal yang hasilnya valid dan reliabel. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah pemberian pre-test dan post-test kemudian selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan statistik uji t dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) ˂ 0,05, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh antara hasil belajar pada kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol, yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata untuk kelas eksperimen 84,67 dan kelas kontrol 70,50, maka tolak H0 dan terima H1. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh media pembelajaran CD interaktif melalui pembelajaran daring di era pandemi Covid-19 terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 7 Kotamobagu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu menggunakan rancangan pretest posttest randomized two group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 7 Kotamobagu dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 32 siswa dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan memberikan pretest sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan posttest sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berupa selisih nilai rata-rata hasil pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 48,28 sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol 33,15. Setelah diuji statistik melalui uji-t, rata-rata hasil belajar yang didapat antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen diperoleh thitung = 10,58 > ttabel = 2,004. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran CD interaktif melalui pembelajaran daring di era pandemi Covid-19 terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 7 Kotamobagu
This study aims to 1) explore concepts and processes of the science of infiltration in a place that varies (slope and vegetation plants) at UNIMA 2) designing concepts and processes of the science of infiltration as lecture references. This study was carried out in June 2019 at the land of the State University of Manado. This study uses explorative research. The results of a measurement of infiltration are the land that has slope 10 0 and dampness 20% as well as in the dominance of grass has the highest rate of infiltration whereas the land that has the texture of the solid land (clay) and nothing plants has the lowest rate of infiltration. Exploring facts in the infiltration can be connected with concepts and processes of science in the form of a matrix. Designing concepts and process science of infiltration such as the material relating to infiltration, the description of the concepts of science on infiltration, and using 3 procedures of explorative in worksheets as a reference in learning processes and practical work in land science courses. The conclusions are concepts and process science of infiltration of covering physics (gravitation, capillarity, the collision on the ground, the mass of raindrops, the mass of the land, the intensity of light, free fall, the dampness of the land), chemistry (the content of rainwater chemicals, heat energy, soil pH), biology (evaporation, kinds of roots, hydrology). It can be in the form of a matrix as well as design concepts and process science of infiltration such as material and worksheets as lecture references inland science courses.
Diversity of Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) that have ability to improved number of carnocine on bakasang were determind by application of molecular approach. Molecular characterization of LAB was based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The result showed that one isolate lactic acid bacteria (Pediococcus sp.B.5.1) among 9 isolates LAB exhibited the highest ability to improved number of carnocine. The molecular characterization based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that the Pediococcus B.5.1 isolate clearly belonged to members of species Pediococcus acidilactici. Therefore, lactic acid bacteria with the high ability to improved number of carnosine could be found from fermented fish bakasang and make bakasang as a functional food.
