Objetivo: Caracterizar as interferências que ocorrem no processo de doação e transplante de órgãos e tecidos após morte encefálica confirmada. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa sobre produções acerca das interferências do processo de doação e transplante de órgãos e tecidos após morte encefálica confirmada, publicadas no período de 2012 a 2017. Resultados: Os artigos foram analisados e divididos em categorias. A primeira diz respeito às intercorrências que ocorrem durante o processo de captação de órgãos e tecidos; a segunda corresponde às intercorrências quanto ao processo de transplante de órgãos e tecidos e a terceira define-se quanto aos fatores éticos relacionados ao processo de doação e transplante. Conclusão: As interferências processuais envolvem problemas de ordem logística, de recursos humanos e materiais e até mesmo de estrutura em nível de Central de Transplantes. Entretanto, ainda existem poucos estudos que caracterizam e analisam essas intercorrências processuais de doação e transplante de forma mais detalhada.Descritores: Obtenção de Tecidos e Órgãos. Objective: report the participation of nursing students in the search for potential donors of organs and tissues.Methodology: experience report about nursing students experience during the extension project "League of Active Search of Potential Organs and Tissues Donors" of Procurement Organization Organs and Tissue in the state of Piauí, in the period from March to June 2014.Results: the main activity developed by the students, along with the on-duty nurse, was the active search for potential donors of organs and tissues. Still, the potential donors were at assessing and maintaining, their families were being interviewed and event notifications were reported to the Notification, the Organs Procurement and Distribution Center, and monitoring the process of capturing the organ and/or tissue after family consent. Conclusion: the participation of academics in the various relevant steps to the organ and tissues donation process elucidated the role of the nurse within this service. Moreover, this experience contributed to the formation of new multipliers on the subject.
