Objective: to analyze the conception of health professionals about multidisciplinary work. Methods: qualitative study carried out with twelve health professionals from a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs. Data were produced through interviews and submitted to content analysis. Results: three categories were elaborated addressing the professionals' conceptions about the multidisciplinary work, the practical strategies used in the daily life of the service for its implementation and the main challenges for the consolidation of the multidisciplinarity as a tool to assist the users of the service. Conclusion: professionals understand the relevance of multidisciplinary work, but stated that it requires planning and valuing the knowledge of the other. Obstacles in academic training and deficiencies in the physical structure of services were identified as the main challenges for multidisciplinarity to go beyond the intentions to become a concrete practice. Resultados: elaboraram-se três categorias que abordam as concepções dos profissionais acerca do trabalho multiprofissional, as estratégias práticas utilizadas no cotidiano do serviço para sua implementação e os principais desafios para consolidação da multiprofissionalidade como ferramenta para assistência aos usuários do serviço. Conclusão: os profissionais entendiam a relevância do trabalho multiprofissional, mas afirmaram que requer planejamento e valorização do saber do outro. Os entraves na formação profissional e as deficiências na estrutura física dos serviços foram apontados como os principais desafios para que a multiprofissionalidade ultrapasse o plano das intenções para tornar-se prática concreta. Objective: report the participation of nursing students in the search for potential donors of organs and tissues.Methodology: experience report about nursing students experience during the extension project "League of Active Search of Potential Organs and Tissues Donors" of Procurement Organization Organs and Tissue in the state of Piauí, in the period from March to June 2014.Results: the main activity developed by the students, along with the on-duty nurse, was the active search for potential donors of organs and tissues. Still, the potential donors were at assessing and maintaining, their families were being interviewed and event notifications were reported to the Notification, the Organs Procurement and Distribution Center, and monitoring the process of capturing the organ and/or tissue after family consent. Conclusion: the participation of academics in the various relevant steps to the organ and tissues donation process elucidated the role of the nurse within this service. Moreover, this experience contributed to the formation of new multipliers on the subject.
Objetivo: analisar a produção científica sobre a infecção de profissionais de saúde pelo vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV) a partir de acidentes ocupacionais. Metodologia: revisão integrativa da literatura, desenvolvida em 2013, a partir de busca realizada no acervo de periódicos da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, empregando-se os descritores “acidente de trabalho” e “HIV”. Após criteriosa seleção dos artigos encontrados, obteve-se uma amostra de nove produções. Resultados: os dados do estudo apontam uma baixa prevalência de infecções pelo HIV, porém, destacam a ocorrência de casos de subnotificação e a negligência de quimioprofilaxia. Quanto ao perfil dos acidentes ocupacionais, observou-se uma maior prevalência de profissionais da equipe de enfermagem e do gênero feminino. Evidenciou-se também o medo, a culpa e o desespero como os sentimentos mais manifestados após a exposição a fluidos biológicos. Conclusão: os acidentes de trabalho configuram-se como um problema sério de saúde pública. Portanto, faz-se necessário o planejamento e a implementação de orientações específicas aos profissionais por parte dos serviços de saúde, a fim de mudar a realidade atual.
