HOMERO 3D é o grupo de grupo de estudos que visa fomentar a pesquisa e o desenvolvimento de projetos de design utilizando a tecnologia de impressão 3D como recurso educacional para pessoas cegas ou com baixa visão. Por meio deste artigo, discute-se as informações obtidas com o levantamento bibliográfico e o levantamento de projetos com objetivos similares compartilhados no espaço virtual. Os resultados obtidos nesta etapa fundamentarão as outras ações do grupo de estudos.
Este artigo trata do cenário atual e das perspectivas da pós-graduação em Design no Brasil. Para atender a este objetivo e alicerçarmos uma análise de contexto, bem como prospectar um dos muitos cenários futuros, retomamos a origem da pós-graduação brasileira no sentido literal do termo, ou seja, a pós-graduação como atividade de stricto sensu, qual seja, mestrado e doutorado. Abordamos o papel indutor da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento em Nível Superior - CAPES e a Avaliação Multidimensional. Dentre os novos instrumentos de avaliação, evidenciamos o Planejamento Estratégico (PE) como indutor da individuação dos programas de pós-graduação e seus possíveis impactos. Por fim, apresentamos dados que apontam para a estabilidade do Sistema Nacional de Pós Graduação - SNPG e refletimos sobre o estado atual e perspectivas da pós-graduação em Design no Brasil.
O autismo é uma síndrome caracterizada por alterações na comunicação, na interação social e na imaginação. A percepção da falta de informação, o preconceito e a oportunidade de utilizar novas tecnologias para melhorar a qualidade de vida de crianças autistas, pautaram a investigação. Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar os requisitos para projeto de computação vestível, recorte da pesquisa no mestrado profissional em design, que gerou uma proposta conceitual de computação vestível por meio da abordagem do Design Centrado no Humano. Os requisitos foram levantados na pesquisa de campo com os responsáveis pelas crianças, fator relevante pela vivência com as necessidades perceptivas, físicas e emocionais enfrentadas. A pesquisa foi submetida ao Comitê de Ética e aprovado com o protocolo nº 81167917.6.0000.5366. Os requisitos para projetos de artefatos de computação vestível, destinado ao auxílio de crianças autistas, fazem parte dos resultados alcançados e espera-se que contribuam para além das soluções formais, estéticas e tecnológicas, com atributos que consideram os aspectos subjetivos, emocionais e perceptivos.
Este artigo se refere a palestra realizada durante o evento “Encontro de Pós-Graduação em Design – Cenários e Perspectivas” realizado na sede da ESPM-Rio em outubro de 2017. Nesse encontro foi oportunamente tratado sobre as características inerentes aos programas profissionais na pós-graduação brasileira. O artigo manteve o mesmo título da apresentação: “Especificidades do mestrado profissional”. De forma coerente à exposição, procurou-se contextualizar o ensino profissional no Brasil, caracteriza-lo e abordar os desafios dos programas profissionalizantes no âmbito do stricto sensu, propondo uma reflexão sobre a origem, a trajetória, as dificuldades enfrentadas e os desafios para o futuro. Discorre sobre as leis e ações que possibilitam e incentivam esses programas, assim como as principais dificuldades apresentadas pelas universidades na manutenção dos mesmos, e o que tem sido feito para enfrentar o paradigma que manteve até então a divisão entre o mundo acadêmico e o do setor produtivo.
