Consumo de álcool entre estudantes do ensino médio do município de Passos -MGAlcohol consumption among high school students in the municipality of Passos -MG Resumo Este estudo identificou o padrão de consumo de álcool entre estudantes do ensino médio de Passos (MG) e sua associação com fatores sociodemográficos. Participaram 1.967 adolescentes de instituições públicas e privadas de ensino. Utilizou-se o questionário AUDIT. Realizou-se estatís-tica descritiva, teste de qui-quadrado e regressão logística múltipla. A média de idade dos participantes foi de 15,84±1,23 anos. O primeiro contato com o álcool ocorreu aos 13,37±1,92 anos. Dos adolescentes, 30,96% eram abstêmios, 45,76% apresentaram comportamento de beber moderado, 16,47% de beber de risco, 3,51% de alto risco e 3,31% de possível dependência. Houve associação significativa entre o risco de beber e o sexo, relacionamento do adolescente com a mãe, trabalho, ní-vel econômico e de escolaridade do chefe da família. Na análise multivariada observou-se maior risco para os adolescentes do sexo masculino, trabalhadores e com ausência de bom relacionamento com a mãe. Verificou-se que os adolescentes apresentaram contato precoce com bebidas alcoólicas e alta prevalência de comportamento de beber de risco. Palavras-chave Alcoolismo, Estudantes, Saúde do adolescente Abstract This study identified the pattern of alcohol consumption among high school students in Passos, Minas Gerais State, and its association with socio-demographic factors. Study participants included 1,967 adolescents from public and private educational institutions. The AUDIT questionnaire was used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression were applied. The average age of participants was 15.84±1.23 years. The first contact with alcohol occurred at 13.37±1.92 years. Among the adolescents, 30.96% were teetotalers, 45.76% had moderate drinking behavior, 16.47%, were risk drinkers, 3.51% were high-risk drinkers, and 3.31% possible addicts. There was a significant association between the risk of drinking and sex, the relationship of adolescents with their mothers, work, economic bracket and education of the head of the family. In multivariate analysis, there was a higher risk for adolescent males, as well as workers with a poor relationship with their mothers. It was found that teenagers have early contact with alcohol and high prevalence of risk-related drinking behavior.

RESUMOObjetivando analisar a prevalência de TVT em relação ao sexo, raça, idade, localização da lesão e resposta ao tratamento quimioterapêutico foi realizado um estudo retrospectivo de 144 cães atendidos no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade de Uberaba (HVU) durante os anos de 2007 à 2012, diagnosticados com TVT através da realização de exames de cito ou histopatologia. Destes, 59% eram cães sem raça definida (SRD). Apesar de 16,7% dos cães avaliados não terem suas idades determinadas, os resultados desta pesquisa revelaram que os pacientes apresentaram idade variando entre 1 e 15 anos sendo a faixa etária entre 2 e 8 anos (40,2%) a mais afetada. Em relação ao sexo, este trabalho demonstrou que as fêmeas foram mais acometidas que os machos (66,7 e 33,3% respetivamente). Observou-se que a principal localização da neoplasia foi a vulva (65,3%), seguida pelo pênis (30,6%), cavidades nasal (3,5%) e oral (0,7%). Dentre os 54 cães que foram submetidos ao tratamento no hospital veterinário, 39 concluíram o protocolo, sendo que 33 apresentaram citorredução completa utilizando vincristina como agente único; 3 animais se encontravam em tratamento ao final do estudo e nos 3 casos em que houve quimiorresistência, os pacientes se beneficiaram de doxorrubicina. SUMMARYTo analyze the prevalence of TVT in relation to sex, breed, age, lesion location, and response to chemotherapeutic treatment, a retrospective study from 2007 to 2012 was conducted with dogs from the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Uberaba (HVU) diagnosed with TVT by cytology or histopathology. Which, 59% were mongrel dogs (59%). Although 16.7% of these dogs had their ages undetermined, the data of this study showed that patients were aged between 1 and 15 years being the range between 2 and 8 years (40.2%) the most affected. Regarding sexual predisposition, this study shows that females were more affected than males (66.7, 33.3% respectively). The primary site of the tumor occurrence was the vulva (65.3%), followed by the penis (30.6%), nasal (3.5%) and oral cavities (0.7%). Among 54 dogs that were treated at the hospital 39 dogs completed therapeutic protocol, of these 33 dogs had complete cytoreduction using the single-agent vincristine, 3 animals were still receiving treatment at the end of the study and in the 3 chemoresistance cases, these patients were benefited from doxorubicin treatment.

The aim of the present study was to translate and adapt the Preference for and Tolerance of the Intensity of Exercise Questionnaire to Portuguese (PRETIE-Q-PT), and to analyze its psychometric properties (factorial validity with gender invariance analyses, reliability, temporal stability, and construct validity). The sample was composed of 445 Portuguese participants (55.9% women), with a mean age of 29.6 years (SD = 8.2). To verify the psychometric properties of the scale, structural equation modeling procedures were used. Results showed that an abbreviated 10-item scale presented good fit, reliability, and convergent validity. Latent mean analysis between samples, sex, and time points showed no differences. Construct validity tested with self-reported exercise frequency, vitality, well-being, and habit supported the use of the PRETIE-Q-PT in exercise settings, highlighting the need for exercise professionals to consider these intensity-related trait variables in the promotion of a pleasant exercise experience. As a general conclusion, the PRETIE-Q-PT seems to be a valid scale that can be used to assess intensity-trait characteristics in health club exercisers, and may allow professionals to better adjust exercise prescription to subjective needs aiming to achieve theoretically suggested promotion of pleasurable exercise experiences.
