O objetivo do presente estudo foi descrever e analisar o processo de intervenção da Terapia Ocupacional com uma criança com diagnóstico de TEA e sua família, à luz da Teoria Bioecológica do Desenvolvimento Humano (TBDH) de Urie Bronfenbrenner. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de um estudo de caso, sendo utilizada a metodologia de Inserção Ecológica. Participaram do estudo uma criança de cinco anos, com diagnóstico de TEA, seu responsável e uma estagiária de Terapia Ocupacional que os atendiam durante o semestre na Unidade de Saúde Escola (USE) da Universidade Federal de São Carlos. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizados: um formulário para identificação da criança, um roteiro de entrevista com o familiar, um roteiro de entrevista com a aluna de graduação que atendia a criança e sua família no semestre e um diário de campo. Os dados coletados por meio dos instrumentos foram analisados descritivamente a partir da TBDH. Dentre os principais resultados identificou-se que o terapeuta ocupacional atua potencializando o desenvolvimento, por meio da interação da criança com objetos e pessoas, do brincar, favorecendo os processos de inclusão social e escolar.
