Resumo O artigo busca compreender a história de criação da licenciatura em educação do campo na Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. O curso objetiva formar profissionais da educação para atuação por áreas de conhecimento (linguagens e ciências humanas e sociais) para a segunda etapa do ensino fundamental e para o ensino médio, partindo do princípio de que educação do campo é uma construção coletiva como prática de diálogo libertador, em cujo processo educandos e professores constroem-se e são construídos como sujeitos históricos autônomos e capazes de ler o mundo. Para tanto, o artigo recorre a autores que vêm se dedicando a produzir conhecimentos sobre a educação do campo e a formação de professores para atuação em escolas campesinas. Como aporte teórico-metodológico, utiliza os pressupostos da pesquisa histórica, realizando análise de documentos estruturantes do curso e realização de entrevistas com profissionais da universidade que trabalharam na elaboração de proposta de formação. Como resultados, o estudo evidencia que a educação do campo se coloca como uma luta histórica pelos movimentos sociais; que a Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo buscou constituir ações e negociações para a implantação do curso; e que a formação de professores para atuação em escolas do campo é uma ação que, se contemplada, impacta no direito à educação para os grupos sociais que lidam e vivem da terra.
O objetivo deste artigo é descrever compreensivamente as relações entre a pedagogia social, educação social e a educação popular, pontuando as afinidades entre estes saberesfazeres, seus imbricamentos e a formação dos educadores sociais diante deles. Foi adotada como perspectiva metodológica a fenomenologia associada à pesquisa bibliográfica e histórica. A vocação histórica do homem é “ser sujeito” de si junto com o outro no mundo, e o educador social como sujeito que é na sua cotidianidade profissional, produz resistência para ser e levar ao outro (educando) a também existir-se assim. A pedagogia social imbricada com a educação social e a educação popular, afirmando suas diferenças, mas sem estranhamentos conceituais ou ideológicos seria enfim um “inédito viável, um acreditar em um outro possível processo educativo e civilizatório que, na verdade, já ocorre nas margens de diversas periferias brasileiras.
Resumen: El objetivo de este artículo es comprender el contexto histórico en América Latina estableciendo una relación con la educación social a través del intercambio de cartas entre tres educadoras sociales, latinoamericanos, que trabajan en el área de educación social en Brasil y Uruguay, mujeres académicas y con un fuerte compromiso político y educativo con las clases populares; este artículo se gesta para incentivar otras reflexiones sobre los procesos de la educación social. En este artículo tendremos la narrativa como una opción metodológica, ya que entendemos que está llena de significados singulares, que permiten la problematización, la comprensión y develan ciertos fenómenos, en este caso, sobre la educación social, los acontecimientos históricos se van tejiendo a partir de partes seleccionadas existencialmente por las narradoras "[...] por lo tanto, la narración no es apenas el producto de un "de contar", ella tiene también un poder de efecto sobre lo que narra" (Delory, 2012, p.82).
ResumoO presente artigo pretende contribuir para legitimar os caminhos percorridos, os desafios e as oportunidades contemporâneas que aproximam a afirmação da Educação Social enquanto autoridade profissional, em Portugal e no Brasil. Apresenta-se a história dos processos socioeducativos emergentes, da afirmação da profissão, a importância das associações profissionais e os desafios futuros da profissionalização em ambos os países.
