Purpose This paper aims to present a model of how cognitive and behavioral crafting practices relate, reconciling the two dominant and conflicting job crafting theoretical perspectives. Design/methodology/approach Starting by examining the role of cognition and cognitive practices in job crafting, this paper reconstitutes the theorizing path that led to the exclusion of cognitive crafting from job crafting theory, explores existing theorizing efforts to (re)integrate cognitive crafting back into job crafting and proposes a new job crafting model (re)integrating behavioral and cognitive practices. Findings By conceiving cognitive crafting practices as a sensemaking layer that spans across and reciprocates with all behavioral crafting practices, the proposed model specifies the role of behavior and cognition (and the mutual relations between them) in job crafting, while resuming its meaning-making orientation. Originality/value This paper offers novel insights on underspecified aspects of the job crafting theory, improving its heuristic value. It clarifies how meaning is assembled and enacted by people in work environments, allowing for more integrated and comprehensive explanations about how people relate to work.
Objective: the article aims to identify the relevant resources for the composition of managerial and transactional capabilities in the context of micro and small enterprises (MSEs). Method: through a literature review, the resources associated with the innovation were identified: leadership, people management, information and knowledge, relationships with clients, suppliers, and society, and results. The resources were collected and measured using a structured questionnaire made available by the Local Agent for Innovation program, applied to 447 MSEs in the state of Pernambuco, between 2015 and 2017. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to verify how these resources contribute to the composition of capabilities. Results: the results demonstrate that the managerial capability is composed of the relationship with society and suppliers, leadership, the sharing of information and knowledge, and people management. Transactional capability is made up of the relationship with customers and the results obtained by the firm. Conclusions: although MSEs have restrictions on access to technologies, their organizational resources seem to contribute to the development of innovation capability and to obtain competitive advantage.

This article proposes to analyze the formation of biotechnological field bringing actor-network theory's lens as contribution. Based on conclusions of studies developed by Walter Powell and colleagues it was held a research to analyze the diversity of institutional relations that are active by hemophilia therapies, the principle of generalized symmetry adopted for actornetwork theory is highlight to identify how socio-technical associations are assembled. Besides the interorganizational relations, research's findings indicate the scientific and technological contents have a significant mediating role to create and sustain those connections of knowledge. So, it is emphasized the need of a boarder theoretical discussion to enlarge explanations about the dynamics of organizational fields as well as innovation processes.
