RESUMOO processo erosivo constitui-se na principal causa de degradação dos solos e é acelerado por intervenções humanas nas bacias hidrográficas, resultando em prejuízos ao setor agrícola e ao meio ambiente. Para a previsão dos impactos de ações antrópicas ou de mudanças climáticas sobre os processos hidrossedimentológicos, os modelos distribuídos e de base física têm sido bastante eficazes. Neste estudo, aplicou-se o modelo SWAT à sub-bacia do Rio Japaratuba Mirim, em Sergipe, nas seções de medição das estações Fazenda Pão de Açúcar (PA) e Fazenda Cajueiro (CJ), com áreas de contribuição respectivamente de 137,3 e 277,8 km 2 , visando à parametrização das duas bacias aninhadas por meio dos processos de calibração e de validação. Foram realizadas simulações do escoamento na bacia menor (PA), a partir dos parâmetros calibrados na bacia maior (CJ), e, reciprocamente, do escoamento na bacia maior (CJ). Em seguida, foram também realizadas simulações do escoamento e da produção de sedimentos para o período de dados de vazão disponíveis (1985 a 2000), para a seção CJ. Os resultados evidenciaram que o modelo calibrado simulou bem o escoamento superficial e conseguiu prever, de forma coerente, a produção de sedimentos com base nos 12 parâmetros mais sensíveis do modelo. RESUMO Em regiões áridas e semiáridas do planeta, a elevada demanda evaporativa e as características pedogenéticas dos solos, associadas a deficiências no sistema de drenagem de alguns perímetros irrigados, contribuem para um elevado potencial de salinização desses solos. Assim, constituíram objetivos deste estudo determinar o grau de salinização na área irrigada e avaliar o processo de acumulação de sais no período seco e o potencial de lixiviação destes pela água das chuvas no Perímetro Irrigado Califórnia, em Sergipe. Medidas da condutividade elétrica do extrato de saturação do solo (CEes), em dS m-1 a 25 ºC, foram efetuadas no início e final do período chuvoso dos anos de 2008 e 2009. A densidade amostral foi igualmente distribuída em toda área do Perímetro. Os dados foram submetidos à análise geoestatística e gerados mapas da distribuição espacial da CEes por meio do programa ArcGis®. Os valores médios da CEes obtidos revelaram que, apesar da prática de agricultura irrigada intensiva por longo período, o processo de acumulação de sais não foi significativo, tanto na camada superficial (0-0,20 m) quanto em subsuperfície (0,20-0,40 m). Os valores médios da CEes em superfície variaram de 0,47 a 1,10 dS m-1, ficando abaixo de valores da salinidade limiar para a maioria das culturas anuais e perenes.
RESUMOSolos afetados por sais são característicos de zonas áridas/semi-áridas. Este trabalho foi desenvolvido no vale do Açu (RN), no período abril/90 a janeiro/91, objetivando avaliar o efeito do preparo do solo (convencional e convencional + subsolagem) e da aplicação de condicionadores ( gesso, esterco de curral e palha de carnaúba) nas propriedades químicas de um solo aluvial salino sódico. A subsolagem proporcionou efeito eficaz na redução da porcentagem de sódio trocável (PST) e no abaixamento do pH do solo. Nos tratamentos com gesso, foram detectados os maiores valores de cálcio trocável, redução na PST para menos de 15% na camada de 0-0,15 m e aumento na salinidade do solo. O esterco de curral foi benéfico na redução da PST, principalmente quando associado à subsolagem e à gessagem. Existe um desbalanço natural nas relações K:Ca:Mg trocáveis no solo, que se acentua com a gessagem, necessitando de correção potássica para que se atinja o equilíbrio. A proporção entre cátions trocáveis e solúveis no solo ficou entre 13 e 16:1, para cálcio e magnésio, e entre 0,3 e 3,9:1, para o sódio, sendo este o único cátion solúvel que diminuiu com a subsolagem.Termos de indexação: salinidade, sodicidade, gesso, esterco de curral, palha de carnaúba, relação catiônica.
