El Programa Manejo Integrado de Plagas en América Central (PROMIPAC) ejecutado por la Escuela Agrícola Panamericana, con fondos de la Agencia Suiza para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo, se realizó de 1995 a 2012 en Honduras, Nicaragua y El Salvador. El objetivo del programa fue contribuir al desarrollo agrícola de la región a través de la promoción del Manejo Integrado de Plagas (MIP). El programa fortaleció las acciones en extensión, educación e investigación de 80 instituciones socias, incluyendo organizaciones gubernamentales, no gubernamentales, educativas y privadas. El programa generó información técnica, que incluyó la producción de decenas de documentos, entre manuales, cartillas, libros, videos y tesis. PROMIPAC fue pionero en la implementación de la metodología de Escuelas de Campo, realizando 425 en hortalizas y granos básicos. El programa capacitó a 2,860 técnicos extensionistas, 1,830 promotores, 729 docentes y 2,382 estudiantes. Los técnicos capacitaron a 37,167 agricultores/as que adoptaron más de 40 tecnologías MIP y obtuvieron un ingreso incremental anual estimado de 300 US dólares por persona. Resumo “Ser mulher negra na luta é coragem em primeiro lugar, doação de vida pela vida, porque quem doa vida mantém vida”. Nascida da força da encantaria, da luta por territórios livres e em território atravessado pelas logísticas dos projetos desenvolvimentistas, território quilombola Santa Rosa dos Pretos, no município de Itapecuru-Mirim, estado do Maranhão, Brasil. Dona Anacleta narra formas cotidianas de resistir e de existir, e nos mostra como mulheres negras estão desde a margem fazendo o uso político do corpo para existir diante do paradigma da exclusão racial no Brasil e ao mesmo tempo atuarem na linha de frente em defesa da vida. Vozes de pretas, afro pindorâmicas fazem nascer diariamente um novo dia, a esperança. Essas vozes narram territórios dinâmicos e guiados por ontologias outras, que emanam das relações com os encantados do Tambor de Mina. Compartilhamos aqui uma entrevista insurgente realizada no dia 20 de janeiro de 2021 em plena pandemia mundial provocada pela Covid-19. A história de vida costura o lugar da mulher negra na luta quilombola e é contada pela própria Dona Anacleta, conversa que foi realizada pelo aplicativo WhatsApp e transcrita na íntegra. “Pra mudar a sociedade do jeito que a gente quer? O artigo analisa processos de instalação e de expansão de termelétricas no Maranhão e os efeitos sobre comunidades tradicionais. Enfatizam os casos da UTE Porto do Itaqui e da Geramar III, em São Luís, e as UTEs de Complexo Parnaíba, em Santo Antônio dos Lopes. Questões importantes ganham centralidade: a) apresentam-se muitas denúncias acerca da fragilidade dos processos de licenciamento que envolvem a instalação e o funcionamento dos empreendimentos e dos sistemas de controle da emissão de poluentes; b) a instalação destes empreendimentos tem atingido povos e comunidades tradicionais que têm seus modos de vida ameaçados e submetidos a situações de insegurança territorial, ambiental e alimentar. As discussões resultam de trabalhos executados pelo Grupo de Estudos Desenvolvimento, Modernidade e Meio Ambiente, que envolveram análise documental, entrevistas e revisão bibliográfica
Para identificar los materiales mejores, por rendimiento de semilla y aceite, en la Estación Experimental Portoviejo del INIAP fueron evaluadas las líneas de piñón CP037, CP041,CP052, CP054, CP060, CP118, CP120, CP121 y CP122 con los métodos de propagación por semilla y estacas. Se registró la información de altura de planta, número de ramas,frutos por planta, peso de 100 semillas, contenido de aceite, rendimiento de grano por planta y por hectárea, inicio de floración y cosecha. Las plantas provenientes de estacas fueron más precoces a inicio de floración (50,07 días) y rindieron 387,74 g de semilla por planta (969,36 kg/ha) frente a las que procedieron de semillas (floración a 82,73 días) y producción de 214,82 gramos por planta (537,05 kg/ha). El mayor rendimiento de semilla a los 12 meses después del trasplante se logró con las líneas CP041 y CP054, sembradas por estaca con 1511,45 y 1413,05 kg/ha, respectivamente.
