Legislation generally does not define the concept of school culture, rather it occurs as a term in scientific theory, but the term 'good school' is not related exclusively to scientific research. It is a generally accepted term for a school with a good organizational culture. This paper presents the results of research into the effects of school culture on the teaching and learning process in primary schools. Among the seven areas that are subject to self-evaluation and assessment, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia defined the indicators of quality of teaching and learning process. These indicators are, in addition to indicators of school culture, a starting point for this study. The research was carried out in Serbian primary schools. The results shown that the culture of the school has a strong and positive impact on teaching and learning in primary schools in Serbia. Multiple regression analysis determines the predictive effect of school culture on the dimensions of the teaching process and learning as well as the elements of the teaching process.
In manipulation and utilization of biodiesel and its mixtures, especially in the winter period, one of the most serious problems is relatively poor low-temperature flow properties. Classic methods of transesterification solve this problem, so biodiesel quality can be improved only by additives (cold flow improvers). This research examines the effect of commercial additives on the improvement of low-temperature characteristics of biodiesel. Namely, cold filter plugging point (CFPP), pour point (PP) and cloud point (CP) were tested in accordance with EN 116 and ISO 3015 standards. The influence of additives on different types of biodiesel, its different age and influence on the mixture of 5 % biodiesel and fossil diesel were examined. A better effect of additivation to "fresh" biodiesel (made using rapeseed oil), compared to "aged" biodiesel was noted. Improvement of additivation was achieved by mixing additives with an organic solvent (toluene). It was demonstrated that different types of additives are suitable for different types of biodiesel as well as mixtures of biodiesel and fossil diesel. Additives in which solvent is compatible with the type of biodiesel were found to exhibit better performance.
This study examines the habits and competences of IT students in the use of information technology resources. The survey includes 650 students from seven different higher education institutions in various countries in the region. The paper investigates which information technology tools, online applications, and offline programs are being used. The paper also aims to highlight the amount of time that students spend online and how much they participate in communicating online. The goal is to assess what the opportunities provided by the Internet have been used for in terms of learning and development. The obtained results can help to develop and improve virtual learning environments, as well as create an improved form and content of online courses in the future. K E Y W O R D S cognitive walkthrough, computer literacy, virtual learning environments, web applications 1 | INTRODUCTION Students of technical faculties in the region have similar study programs related to IT (Information Technology).
The aim of the research in this paper is to examine the direction and intensity of the influence of leadership in schools and the LMX relationship on the teaching process, and the personal and ethical development of pupils. The survey was conducted by means of a questionnaire, and the respondents were teachers in elementary schools in Serbia. A total of 406 valid questionnaires were collected. The average scores of leadership, LMX relationships, the teaching process and pupils' development are high. Transformational leadership is more pronounced than transactional leadership. All the dimensions of leadership, as well as all the aspects of the LMX relationship, have a statistically significant and positive influence on the teaching process, as well as the ethical and personal development of pupils. The strongest influence of leadership and the LMX relation on the dimensions of the teaching process occurs for those dimensions which include activities outside the classroom, while the weakest impact on the teaching process dimensions exists for those dimensions directly related to teaching activities over time. Principals should be more interested in the work of individual teachers and provide them with appropriate feedback. In general, principals should work continuously to improve leadership and LMX relationships.
This paper presents an analysis of implementation and awareness regarding ICT in teaching among class and special subject teachers. It also provides an analysis and comparison of TIE curricula in the Republic of Serbia and Hungary.
