Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is caused by abnormal production of androgens resulting in the formation of small fluid-filled sacs in the ovaries. This condition worsens the life quality of women by disturbing their physiology and psychology in reproductive age. PCOS may also be associated with other morbidities like diabetes and hypertension. Numerous factors like imbalanced dietary patterns, poor lifestyle activities, improper care and medication, late diagnosis, and ignorance are involved in the prevalence of this disease in women. Hence, an early diagnosis and improved dietary and lifestyle management may improve the life quality and timely recovery of the patient from this disease. Various herbal extracts show a positive correlation in reducing the indicators associated with PCOS. This review discusses the effect of dietary and lifestyle practices on PCOS as prominent features. It has been recommended that a balanced diet with 40% energy from carbohydrates, 30% from fats, and 30% from protein with optimum physical activity could reduce severe PCOS symptoms and improve metabolic balance. Furthermore, recommendations for modification of diet and lifestyle activities are made which may positively influence the recovery from PCOS. Practical applicationsPolycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) severely affects the life quality of suffering women. The dietary patterns, lifestyle activities, and co-medical conditions collectively affect the severity and related consequences of PCOS. This article provides sufficient information on dietary and lifestyle modifications to effectively manage this disease. Furthermore, dietitians, nutritionists, gynecologists, and obstetrics physicians can benefit from the information provided in it to understand and develop the management strategies to alleviate the disease symptoms and severity.

The present investigation was designed to throw light on the microbial status of bakery products available in bakeries and supermarkets of Lahore. Different bakery samples such as biscuits, pizza, patties were collected from different localities such as Anar Kali, Chauburji, Faisal Town, Iqbal Town, Model Town, Muslim Town were investigated for mold and yeast using serial dilution technique inoculated over malt extract agar and potato dextrose agar under sterilized conditions. Isolated fungi were namely Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus terreus, Curvularia americana, Fusarium solani, Penicillium digitatum, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Geotrichum candidum. Results depicted maximum fungal viable count in biscuits, collected from Model Town while minimum count was in the samples of Chauburji. In the case of pizza, the maximum fungal viable count was found in the sample of Muslim Town. In the case of patties, the maximum fungal viable count was found in the sample of Muslim Town while minimum count was found in the sample of Iqbal Town. Prevalence of microorganisms may be due to the use of contaminated raw material, use of polluted waters, human handling, and the use of contaminated containers. Contaminated food intake can lead to measurable signs of liver injury, inflammation, etc. Preventive measures like washing and drying of hands before preparing food, cleaning of food preparation areas, and the use of clean equipment can avoid microbes which cause hazards to human health. Myxoid liposarcoma (MLPS) is an adipocytic tumour and second commonest among the types of liposarcoma. It exhibits a wide histological spectrum. It is important to be aware of this diversity of morphology in this tumour to prevent a wrong diagnosis. Heterologous differentiation in myxoid liposarcoma is reported; however, this is rare. To date, seven cases of MLPS with cartilaginous differentiation have been reported. Only five of these were further confirmed by cytogenetic analysis. We are reporting the 8th case of MLPS with cartilaginous differentiation. A 66-year female presented with posterior left thigh mass. Excision was done. Microscopic examination showed sheets of bland spindle cells containing round to oval nuclei and fine, delicate chicken-wire vessels. The firm blue appearing areas, which accounted for about 20% of the tumor volume, were characterised by mature hyaline cartilage. The final diagnosis was MLPS, showing prominent cartilaginous differentiation. Anterior and lateral margins were involved. Tumour was very close to the rest of the resection margins. FNCLCC grade was 1. Provisional pathological stage, as per staging system of the Union for International Cancer Control for extremity, was pT2. Patient was examined by oncologists. Wide local excision is in plan as two margins were involved by the tumour, while rest of the margins were very close to tumour.

Climate change and farming malpractices (e.g., harmful pesticides use) are harmful to the globe's productive soil and biodiversity, thereby posing a hazard to the survival of future generations. Innovative technologies provide continuous smart conservation solutions, such as regenerative farming, to confront the ongoing climate crisis and maintain biodiversity. Albeit, regenerative farming has the potential to conserve climate change by upgrading the soil's organic materials and reinstating biodiversity leading to carbon attenuation. However, a critical problem remains concerning adapting conservation farming practices that can assist low-income farmers. In this scenario, theoretical-driven communication campaigns are critical for addressing individuals' resistance to innovation. Thereby, this research uncovers the moderating influence of the numerous communication tools in determining the adoption of regenerative farming through diminishing farmers' resistance to innovation. The study employed a cross-sectional design vis-à-vis a survey method. A sample of 863 farmers participated by responding to the self-administrated questionnaire. In line with prior theories, the study's results identified that communication campaigns such as public service advertisements and informative scientific documentaries could reduce the resistance to innovation that increases the attitude toward the adoption of regenerative farming with varied intensity. Besides, informational support also remained a significant contributor in determining the intention to adopt regenerative farming. This specifies that implanting habits of conservation farming requires the initiation of communication campaigns using different media content. These results may be advantageous for policymakers to influence farmers' intentions to adopt regenerative farming.
