The aims of this study are (1) to explain the definition of Information and Communication Technology (ICT); (2) to explain the importance of ICT used in Mathematics Learning; (3) to describe how much ICT used in Mathematics Learning in indoensia; (4) to elaborate the positive and negative effects of implementing ICT used in Mathematics learning. The methods used are literature review and description of interviews to educators and learners in the field of mathematics education. Information and Communication Technology is an electronic equipment consisting of hardware and software as well as any activities related to processing, manipulation, management, and transfer of information between media. It has has a function to produce quality and communicative information. In Indonesia, the use of Information and Communication Technology is still in integrating level, shown by the use of technology in learning. The utilization of information technology, in addition to efforts to overcome the technical problems of learning as a learning medium, as well as an effort to answer the substantial problem of learning as a source of teaching and encourage computer literacy acceleration in Indonesian society.Keywords: 1 Information and Communication Technology (ICT), e-Education, e-Learning. PENDAHULUANPerkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat pesat mendorong terjadinya perubahan diberbagai bidang, termasuk bidang pendidikan. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan memungkinkan berbagai kegiatan dapat dilaksanakan dengan cepat, tepat, dan akurat. Menurut Wardana (2002), kehidupan sudah dipengaruhi oleh berbagai kebutuhan secara elekronik atau biasa disebut e-life seperti e-government, e-commerce, e-education, emedicine, e-laboratory, dan lainnya Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi tersebut juga berimbas pada tuntutan pengetahuan matematika yang sangat. Di masa lalu, masyarakat perlu bisa menghitung dengan efisien dan akurat. Namun, saat ini berhitung lebih efisien dilakukan oleh mesin, karena mesin hitung dapat melakukan perhitungan dengan cepat dan akurat, serta dapat melakukan perhitungan-perhitungan pada konten-konten matematika yang rumit seperti logaritma, statistik, trigonometri, integral, turunan, dan lain-lain. This research aims to comprehend how the impact of ICT in mathematics learning, particularly in middle school, and to study teachers’ perspective toward implementation of ICT application in mathematics learning based on the gender of teaching teacher. The research method isdescriptive, giving questionnaires and interviewing 56 mathematics’ teacher in West Java, Indonesia. The results showed in applying ICT in mathematics learning, categories show many times 45%, ever applied 54%, and never applied 1 %.
Pendekatan Saintifik berbasis e-learning dapatmeningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis dan Self-confidence Siswa. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self-confidence merupakan aspek penting yang perlu dikuasai siswa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Resources-Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific menggunakan media e-learning adalah sebuah metode pembelajaran inovatif yang memungkinkan siswa untuk dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis aneka sumber melalui kerangka ilmiah yang didukung dengan media interaktif berbasis teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan pengaruh metode Resources-Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific menggunakan media e-learning terhadap peningkatan Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self-confidence siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII Semester 2 dari 3 kelas yang sudah terbentuk.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan angket yang dianalisis dengan statistik anova satu jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self-confidence siswa yang pembelajarannya melalui Resources-Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific menggunakan media e-learning lebih baik dibandingkan melalui Resources-Based Learning tanpa menggunakan media e-learning dan pembelajaran konvensional, dimana terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dengan self-confidence.
This study aims to develop mobile learning (m-learning) teaching materials on straight-line equations and analyze its effectiveness in increasing junior high school students’ creative thinking skills. The method used is the R&D developed by Alessi and Trollip. The stages of this research include planning, design, and development. The planning stage includes determining the scope, identifying existing teaching materials and student characteristics, and collecting references. The design stage includes analysis of the material concept, making flowcharts and storyboards of teaching materials. The development stage includes preparing teaching materials through expert validation and two trials, making mobile learning applications, and evaluating teaching materials to analyze their effectiveness. The teaching materials were evaluated by material, and media experts then tested on 30 students. The m-learning teaching material developed is an Android smartphone application that students can use as a support source for learning mathematics. This study’s subjects were all class VIII Yastrib Junior High School students, as many as 30 people. The results showed that the m-learning teaching materials on straight line equations developed were feasible to use. Their effectiveness in developing creative thinking skills in the learning process was considered adequate for students with an effect size value of 2.51, which was in the very high category.
