Creative thinking skills are 21st Century Skills which are difficult to improve when online learning is implemented. This study aimed to develop online learning videos to improve students' creative thinking skills. The product development process includes problem analysis, material collection, product design, expert test, limited trial, design revision, usage trial, and product revision. The material and design determine the feasibility of the product. Aspects of material assessment include conformity to the curriculum, indicators of creative thinking, and language. Elements of the assessment in terms of media include instructional design, visual communication, and aspects of creative thinking. The validation results show the average percentage of material experts is 97.55%, and media experts is 93.7%. The results of the user response test (teachers and students) were 99.76%. This value shows that online learning videos were included in the very appropriate category as learning media to improve students' creative thinking skills on the material of the circulatory system. Therefore, the media that has been developed in this study is expected to be followed up in further research and applied in biology learning.
This research aimed to observe the influence of learning model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) type towards students communication ability (written and oral) of urinary subconcept class XI. The method used quasiexperiment with randomize control group only research design. This research was held in MA class XI 2nd-semester academic year of 2017/2018. The sampling technique used in this research was random sampling with class XI IPA 3 as experiment class which Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) was implemented and class XI IPA 4 as control class. Students' written communication ability on experiment class with good category (71,4 %), control class with enough category (58,67 %) and students oral communication on experiment class with good category (68,67 %) and on control class with enough category (59,1 %). The result of hypothesis test analysis by using Z test on significant level α = 0.05, significance value result was (0.000) < 0.05 Ho rejected for written communication ability and significance value result was (0.002) < 0.05 Ho rejected for oral communication ability, therefore it can be concluded that there was influence of learning model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) towards communication ability (oral and written) of urinary subconcept class XI in MA.
This study aimed to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model through the Aptitude Treatment Interaction on students' cognitive abilities in the concept of the human motion system. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this research is all students in grade XI MIPA SMAN A Serang City in the 2021/2022 academic year. The sample of this research is class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. Data collection technique used posttest to measure student cognitive abilities taken at the beginning and the end of learning. Learning outcomes showed that the average value of students' cognitive skills in experimental class is 84, an excellent category. In contrast, the average value in the control class produces a score of 74 in the superb category. To prove the hypothesis, the writer counted the significance by using a t-test (t-test) of the Independent Simple T-test, the student's cognitive learning outcomes are 0,002, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the discovery learning model through the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) approach on student learning outcomes on the concept of motion systems in humans.
This study aimed to determine the feasibility of Bacteria magz as alternative learning resources on the bacteria concept of senior high school. The method used in this research is a product feasibility test using a Likert scale. We used three experts to validate the Bacteria magz that have an expertises and experiences in learning media, bacteria concept, and alternative learning sources. The results of the expert test evaluation on the aspect of the media were 93,25%, while on the material aspect was 87,5%. The average value of the Bacteria magz as alternative learning sources was 90,37%. The Bacteria magz as alternative learning resources on bacteria concept was very suitable for ten grade students of senior high school.
Higher order thinking skills are needed in 21st century learning. This study aims to determine the profile of higher order thinking skills at the level of creating biology subjects for high school students in Banten Province and a comparison of students' creative abilities in each district/city in Banten Province. The research method used was a phenomenological approach and school sampling with random sampling technique was used in 8 cities or districts of Banten Province in March-October 2020. Data were collected using a questionnaire technique. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman model. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the higher-order thinking ability of students at the creative level in Banten Province was 6.8 which was included in the very poor category. The learning process that has not taken the HOTS approach and is not used to providing students with high-level thinking questions makes students find it difficult to solve the problems they face.
Creativity is related to mental activities to build new ideas. Students' creative thinking skills need to be developed to overcome problems in everyday life, such as discovering and creating new things, new ways, and new models that are useful for themselves and others. Creative thinking is also a skill that demands 21st-century competencies developed through applying the curriculum 2013. The Project Based Learning (PjBL) is a recommended learning model in the curriculum 2013. The purpose of this study is to measure student creativity in compiling project reports. These creative thinking skills are developed through the Human Physiology Anatomy Course (Anfisman) by applying project-based STEM-integrated PjBL. The project in question is to explore problems in the form of diseases or abnormalities in the body system often suffered by the community and their solutions. Then the project report is packaged in the form of a video. The method used in the study is the mixed method with an explanatory design. The research sample was Anfisman class students, who were selected by purposive sampling totaling 38 people. The instruments used are creative product assessment and STEM-integrated PjBL implementation sheets. The results showed that students have good creative thinking skills, shown by the results of their project report products in the form of videos. Project reports in the very creative category, as much as 12%. In the creative category, as much as 75%, and in the quite creative category, as much as 13%. It also shows that the STEM-integrated PjBL model can grow and develop students' creative thinking skills.
