Nursing diagnosis sedentary lifestyle in individuals with hypertension: an analysis of accuracy RESUmENObjetivo: Analizar la precisión de las características definidoras (CD) del diagnóstico de enfermería Estilo de Vida Sedentario (EVS) en personas con hipertensión arterial. Método: Estudio transversal desarrollado en un centro de referencia en la atención ambulatoria de personas con hipertensión arterial y diabetes, cuya muestra fue de 285 indivíduos. Se utilizó un formulario elaborado en base a definiciones operacionales construidas para cada CD del diagnóstico. El juicio clínico en cuanto a la presencia del EVS fue realizado por cuatro enfermeros entrenados para llevar a cabo la inferencia diagnóstica. Resultados: La prevalencia del EVS fue del 55,8%. Considerando las medidas de precisión, elige rutina diaria sin ejercicio físico fue la principal CD para el EVS, con sensibilidad del 100% y especificidad del 84,13%. El análisis de la regresión logística destacó dos CD: verbaliza preferencia por actividad con poco ejercicio físico y bajo desempeño en las actividades instrumentales de la vida diaria. Conclusión: Los resultados permitieron identificar los mejores indicadores clínicos para el EVS en adultos hipertensos.
Objective: To identify in the literature how Middle-Range Theories (MRT) are being developed in Nursing. Method: Integrative review on the databases Lilacs (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), Scopus, Cinahl (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), Web of Science and PubMed portal, using the keywords middle range theory and nursing, as well its Portuguese correspondents (Lilacs), and the Boolean operator AND. The sample included 25 articles. Results: All articles presented concepts related to MRT. Most developed a synthesis picture. Some theories have formulated specific propositions, hypotheses, and names. Only 16 articles cited the methodological framework, while 22 used theories or models for theoretical foundation and 11 carried out literature reviews. Final considerations: The development of MRT included the presentation of fundamental concepts, synthesis, propositions, hypotheses and specific name. The MRT is recognized as a way of developing knowledge to guide the nursing practice.
Objective: to build and validate an educational booklet for bathing and hygiene of elders at home. Methods: a methodological study, developed through data collection in literature and situational diagnosis, booklet construction, material qualification through validation by expert judges (11 nurses) and target audience (30 caregivers). Data were analyzed descriptively. The minimum content validity index of 0.80 was considered. Results: in content and appearance validation, experts assigned Content Validity Index global of 0.92, while for assessment of the material’s suitability, the booklet was classified as “superior”, with an average of 90%. In the validation of caregivers, the overall Content Validity Index was 1.0. Conclusion: the booklet was successfully validated and can be considered in the context of health education and collaborate with an adequate and safe practice of bathing and hygiene of elders at home.
Objectives: To describe the profile of Brazilian older adults who use the Internet, the means of Internet access and the purpose of Internet use and to verify the existence of association between socio-demographic variables and variables related to Internet use. Method: Cross-sectional study with Brazilian older adults who used the social networks Facebook and WhatsApp. Descriptive, univariate, and bivariate analysis were conducted. Results: 384 older adults participated in the study, mostly women (52.08%), with a mean age of 64.6 years old and who used the Internet to address health concerns (65.36%). The main activities on the internet were reading, listening to music, playing games, watching videos and photos (37.30%). The main benefits pointed out were interaction (74.5%), learning (19.2%) and entertainment (19.25%). There were statistically significant differences between time spent online and the variables gender, age, and civil status. Conclusion: This study showed characteristics of older adults who use the Internet and revealed the possibility of using digital technologies to optimize health care for this population.
Objetivo: Descrever o perfil dos enfermeiros da Estratégia Saúde da Família, considerando suas características sociodemográficas, do mercado de trabalho e dos empregos. Método: Pesquisa exploratória, sob abordagem quantitativa, baseada num estudo de caso, desenvolvida com 64 enfermeiros dos municípios da 12ª Regional da Saúde do Ceará. A coleta ocorreu por meio de questionário do Google Forms® e os dados foram analisados utilizando software R. Resultados: Os dados sociodemográficos dos enfermeiros apontam: 79,7% são do sexo feminino, 71,9% são pardos, 43,7% são solteiros, com faixa etária mais prevalente de 26 a 30 anos (29,7%), 46,8% percebem um salário entre três a quatro mil reais. Quanto ao trabalho, predomina a prestação de serviço por tempo determinado (50%) e 18,8% têm mais de um emprego. Conclusão: Os resultados deste estudo trazem a reflexão e a contribuição para o desenvolvimento de políticas de gestão do trabalho, que melhore as condições, reduza a precarização e tente a fixação dos profissionais na região.
