En ese artículo pretendemos examinar la siguiente hipótesis a partir de distintos ángulos de abordaje: el Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) ha propiciado una estandarización, progresiva pero incompleta, de los criterios que rigen a las élites científicas nacionales sobre los que imperan en los países desarrollados. Examinaremos algunos indicadores en torno a los cuales los integrantes del SNI pertenecientes a los grupos de mayor edad presentan diferencias notorias con respecto de los de menor edad y son sintomáticos de esa dinámica de homogeneización, por ejemplo la edad de obtención del doctorado. Estudiaremos asimismo distorsiones que caracterizan ese universo, por ejemplo la de la sub-representación de las mujeres. Con base en un análisis sistemático de la base de datos de 2009 sobre los investigadores del SNI, y de una muestra de biografías académicas seleccionadas en el sitio del Curriculum Vitae Único, intentaremos demostrar en qué medida la adquisición de un posgrado en el extranjero favorece una progresión de carrera rápida en el interior del dispositivo, haciendo énfasis en los sesgos por área disciplinaria y en factores adicionales que explican la obtención de un alto capital de prestigio científico.
En Afrique sahélienne, le champ scolaire se recompose : les structures privées se diversifient, et la demande scolaire s’accroît fortement. Parallèlement, certains groupes sociaux musulmans se tournent vers l’enseignement laïc. Pour comprendre ces évolutions, cet article analyse les logiques sociales et les enjeux de scolarisation, sur la base d’enquêtes au Mali et au Burkina-Faso. Il examine les rapports entre stratégies éducatives et capital scolaire, entre ces stratégies et l’extension relative de la « culture scolaire ».
Au Mexique, 10 % de l’ensemble des enseignants-chercheurs sont membres du système national des chercheurs (SNI), un système particulièrement sélectif et méritocratique. L’article montre que l’internationalisation des formations structure depuis des décennies le champ scientifique et d’enseignement supérieur mexicain. Cependant les champs disciplinaires (áreas) sont inégalement marqués tant en termes de structuration que de savoirs par la mobilité pour étude vers les pôles étrangers de formation. Sur le marché international de la formation, certains pôles de formation paraissent dominants ou, au contraire, secondaires. Le corps des chercheurs du SNI est également hiérarchisé en fonction de ces pôles de formation : les études à l’étranger représentent un critère de distinction et un facteur de progression plus rapide dans la carrière scientifique. L’article émet enfin l’hypothèse d’une réduction progressive des hiérarchies, non seulement entre pôles dans l’espace international de formation, mais également entre chercheurs selon le pays d’obtention de leur doctorat. En définitive, on assisterait à un processus de différenciation moindre des membres du SNI selon leurs trajectoires de formation et à un processus conjoint de recomposition des élites scientifiques mexicaines.
