Une étude ethnomédicinale réalisée chez les Krobou, une ethnie du Département d'Agboville (Côte-d'Ivoire), a montré que 27 tradithérapeutes utilisent 18 espèces de la flore ivoirienne, pour combattre différentes pathologies. Diverses parties de la plante (écorces de racine et de tige, feuilles, fruits, graines et tubercules) sont utilisées pour la préparation des recettes médicamenteuses. Ces recettes, monospécifiques en général, nécessitent divers modes de préparation (décoction, expression, infusion, macération, pétrissage, pilage, pulvérisation, ramollissement, torréfaction et trituration). On note divers modes d'administration des médicaments : ablution, application locale, badigeonnage, bain de vapeur, boisson, instillations buccales, nasales, vaginales et purges. Les tests tri phytochimiques réalisés sur 3 extraits (éthérique, méthanolique et aqueux) ont révélé que les différentes drogues renferment des stérols, polyterpènes, polyphénols, flavonoïdes, tanins catéchiques, alcaloïdes et des saponosides, qui leur confèrent les propriétés thérapeutiques diverses.

Ethnobotanic study of medicinal Asteraceae sold on the markets of the autonomous district of Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) ABSTRACTThe use of plants in our immediate environment in primary health care in Africa and especially in the poor populations is a very common practice. An ethnobotanical survey, carried out on 110 herbalists of the A. B. YAPI et al. / Int. J. Biol. Chem. Sci. 9(6): 2633-2647, 2015 2634 markets of the autonomous district of Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), has enabled to identify 27 plant species belonging to the family of Asteraceae. These species are grouped into 20 genera and 7 tribes. The genus Vernonia (22.22%) is the most represented. The morphological and biological analyses show a predominance of herbs (85.19%) and therophytes (44.45%). These Asteraceae are used in the formulation of 57 recipes to fight against 70 diseases. The leaves (43.18%) are the most valuable organs. Kneading (38.60%) and the decoction (33.34%) are drug preparation techniques most used. The decocted, the juice and the paste are the pharmaceutical forms commonly prescribed and frequently administered as drink (35.94%). The most frequently cited diseases are malaria, infantile diseases and pregnancy. The most requested of the Asteraceae are Acanthospermum hispidum, Ageratum conyzoides, Vernonia amygdalina. It is observed from the various phytochemical studies that the curative effect of the medicinal plants is the fact of primary and especially secondary metabolites.

Objective: The aim of this study is to contribute to a better knowledge of medicinal antidiabetic herbs used in the Zouénoula Department. Methodology and results: Ethnobotanical surveys were carried out using questionnaires from the Department's healers. The results obtained made it possible to inventory seventeen species of medicinal plants belonging to fourteen botanical families and divided into sixteen genera. Among these species, Ageratum conyzoides (Goatweed), Anthocleista djalonensis (Cabbage tree) and Bidens pilosa (Black jack) are the most recommended. The leaves are the most used organs. The decoction is the mode of preparation most requested and the administration is done mainly by oral way. Conclusion and application of results:This work constitutes a source of information which can serve as a basis for pharmacological studies in order to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of these three plants with traditional antidiabetic effect.

The results of this survey offer a contribution to the development of resources of traditional medicine in the region of Agboville. This study was conducted in view of the experiences phytochemical, pharmacological and toxicological and implementation of innovative initiatives that can lead in the future on the manufacture of improved traditional medicines (MTA).

Une enquête ethnobotanique a été menée dans la District de Yamoussoukro dans le but de connaitre les Euphorbiaceae utilisées traditionnellement par les Baoulé pour leurs soins de santé.. Méthodologie et résultats: Une étude ethnobotanique a été réalisée auprès de quarante (40) tradipraticiens de santé du District. Douze (12) espèces réparties en huit (8) genres ont été répertoriées. Les feuilles (y compris rameaux feuillés) constituent les organes les plus utilisés (59%). La décoction (34%) est le mode de préparation le plus fréquemment employé pour la majorité des recettes médicamenteuses. La voie orale est la plus sollicitée avec 44% des recettes. Par ailleurs, l'étude a révélé que les maladies de la peau (34%) ainsi que les affections du tube digestif (29%) sont les plus traitées avec les Euphorbiaceae suivi par le traitement des troubles respiratoires (14%) et celui des affections ostéo-articulaires (11%). Conclusion et application des résultats: Ces résultats peuvent être considérés comme une source d'information pour les recherches scientifiques dans le domaine de la phytochimie et de la pharmacologie.
