PRODUCTION AND EVALUATION OF A EDUCATIONAL GAME "TAPA ZOO" AS A TOOL FOR ZOOLOGY STUDY FOR STUDENTS OF REGULAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ABSTRACTThe search for new tools in the teaching process as dynamic alternative facilitating the understanding of content related to science has increased over the years. The educational game can be considered a valuable tool for this process, since in addition to the educational benefits, it provides personal and intellectual growth of students and strengthen interpersonal relationships thereof. In this study, we aimed to present and analyze the educational game "Tapa Zoo", which deals with Zoology as a central theme. The study was conducted with two groups of seventh year of Basic Regular Education and the teachers responsible for science classes these classes of a public school located in Santo Antônio de Pádua/RJ. The educational game developed made use of low cost materials and easy acquisition and addresses animals species features. Considering that the Zoology content is quite extensive, which discourages students study in this area, the didactic game was of great importance to arouse the interest of students and assist in the teaching-learning process.
AbstractThe present work aimed the production, evaluation and validation of the didactic game "Desafio Ciências -Sistemas do Corpo Humano", as a tool to teach this theme. The game was applied to 25 students of the 8th grade of Elementary School of the Escola Municipal "Escola Viva" Professora Edy Belloti (Santo Antônio de Pádua/RJ). As a way of evaluating the quality and efficiency of the game, three questionnaires were developed and applied, two with an evaluative function and one with an ergometric function. The first, with an evaluative function, was used to probe students' previous knowledge about content; the second, also with an evaluation function, was applied after the use of the game and evaluated how much the students learned from the activity; and the third one, used for ergometric analysis in the usability aspect, had the objective of verifying the students' opinion about the aesthetics and functionality of the game. The results obtained suggest that the didactic game developed is efficient in the proposal for which it is intended, so that can consider it adequate as a support tool in the teaching-learning process of the content addressed.
The teaching of the periodic table of basic education is present introductory in the 9th grade of elementary school and more deeply in the 1st year of high school. Regardless of the level of approach, its teaching still occurs traditionally in many educational institutions, based on exhaustive memorization of the organizational structure and properties of the elements. This teaching process makes the periodic table a low interest content and neglects the historical process of its construction. In this sense, this article aims to discuss and encourage the adoption of an approach involving the history of science in a contextualized way, in addition to the adoption of other didactic resources, not just the printed table. To this end, we present a brief bibliographical review about the history of the periodic table and its approach in the classroom. It is also suggested the use of different methodologies for teaching the theme in basic education.
ABSTRACTIndependently of the level of education of students in basic education, dealing with issues such as sexually transmitted diseases (STD) is not a simple process. The Regular Fundamental Education presents the complicator of the low psychosocial development to deal with themes, which for the students is embarrassing. Using the ludic to modify the way of approaching this theme, it's possible to achieve didactic objectives and the construction of knowledge in a dynamic and solid way. With this premise, this work presents the didactic game "DST's Bowling -a case study", which has a different approach to traditional didactic games. Because it does not represent the classic board and card games, this game, which uses the Problem Based Learning method (PBL), was a novelty for the students, who needed to organize themselves to work in teams in a different way than they were accustomed. The results of the evaluation of the didactic game validation, as usability, indicate that the proposal of the didactic game is valid for use with students of Regular Fundamental Education.
