En el artículo se determinan los usos y apropiaciones que dan los adolescentes de la Facebook y las prácticas comunicativas que surgen de estos usos y apropiaciones. Se enmarcó en un enfoque mixto de carácter descriptivo, aplicando una encuesta a adolescentes que permitió comprender los elementos de comunicación que son afectados por el uso del Facebook, y una entrevista para conocer cuáles son las apropiaciones. Se encontró que los adolescentes utilizan Facebook para la socialización y para la definición de su identidad, sin importar el espacio y tiempo. Los adolescentes establecen interacciones sociales, a través del uso de Facebook, que se apropia debido a diferentes actividades y prácticas comunicativas que están correspondidas en la construcción de signos y códigos comunicacionales que se producen en las interacciones.
El estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar las competencias docentes para el desarrollo e implementación de la educación basada en las TIC desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes. Es cuantitativa de enfoque descriptivo correlacional en el que se miden los niveles de las competencias TIC mediante una escala Likert con 27 ítems en las dimensiones comunicativa, tecnológica y pedagógica. La muestra estuvo formada por 606 estudiantes matriculados en programas de Comunicación Social de universidades ubicadas en cinco ciudades diferentes de Colombia, de los cuales 27% eran hombres y 73% mujeres. Los hallazgos del estudio revelan que, desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes, sus docentes durante el tiempo de pandemia han sido competentes desde lo comunicativo, lo tecnológico y lo pedagógico, pero también consideran que los docentes deben ser más creativos en las clases, socializar más sus investigaciones y diseñar un buen material de apoyo. Se identificó una relación positiva que no es lineal, pero sí es de proporcionalidad directa entre ellas.
El propósito de esta investigación, fue identificar los nexos socio-relacionales del uso de las TIC en el entorno escolar de los adolescentes. La investigación tuvo un enfoque mixto, con una muestra de 40 adolescentes, con edades entre 14 y 17 años, pertenecientes a los grados 9 a 11 de una institución educativa colombiana. La información se recolectó a través del mapa socio-relacional, que consistió en graficar las relaciones e interacciones de la población objetivo, en los ámbitos virtual y presencial. Los resultados indican que el número de relaciones que tienen los adolescentes en el medio virtual, son diferentes a las del medio presencial. Esto se debe a que existe mayor conectividad comunicativa. Se concluye que las interacciones sociales mediadas por TIC, se presentan de dos formas: la interacción conectiva de costumbre, con los mismos sujetos del ámbito presencial, y la conectiva ampliada, que se da con individuos diferentes a los de costumbre.
Este artículo identificó las narrativas que sobre las mujeres migrantes venezolanas realizó La Opinión.com.co (la versión en línea de un diario de Cúcuta, Colombia, la principal ciudad en la frontera colombo-venezolana) desde el 2015-2020. A través del análisis de contenido de 134 notas se determinó que el medio relata a las migrantes como vulnerables, y cuyas fortalezas están fundamentadas en el trabajo sexual o la implicación actos delictivos. Así, las mujeres son protagonistas en el binomio agentes o víctimas, identificándose tres líneas narrativas: las víctimas y agentes de la crisis fronteriza; las víctimas de asesinatos y las delincuentes, y, por último, las víctimas de la prostitución y la trata de personas con fines de explotación sexual y las prostitutas. En conclusión, el diario en línea ha construido narrativas precarizadas de la mujer migrante venezolana asociadas con lo peligroso, lo enfermo o lo contagioso.
Este artículo, resultado de la investigación 'Mujeres periodistas, lideresas de opinión en San José de Cúcuta', tiene por objetivo implementar las historias de vida como método de investigación en Comunicación Social. Metodología: La investigación, de tipo exploratoria, apeló a la técnica de la entrevista a profundidad a seis (6) mujeres periodistas de medios locales; con 120 preguntas, organizadas en siete (7) momentos: I. Vida familiar y personal; II. En formación; III. Inicios de la vida laboral; IV. Ejercicio de su profesión; V. Líderes de opinión; VI. Lideresas de opinión y VII. Tratamiento periodístico con perspectiva de género. Resultados: La aplicación del método permitió acercarse a las prácticas y rutinas de los entrevistados, identificando actitudes, roles y transformaciones del ejercicio del periodismo. Conclusiones y Discusión: las historias de vida, se constituyen en una alternativa metodológica, para la Comunicación Social, así como para entender las problemáticas de la zona de frontera desde lo comunicativo.
