Teacher professionalism is one of the important aspects of improving the academic success of students. In order to establish teacher professionalism development programs, then it needs to be identified the factors which influenced it. The research that has been around so far tend to prioritize external factors than internal factors, whereas according to a literature review, the researcher finds that internal factors have more impact on the improvement of teacher professionalism. This study aimed to determine the influence of values and achievement motivation on teacher professionalism. This study used a quantitative research by testing hypotheses. The data sources were selected through saturated sampling techniques. The sample for this study consisted of 60 teachers from Muhammadiyah 2 High School Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The collected data were analysed using simple regression and multiple regression techniques with the aid of SPSS statistics application. The results showed that the teacher's values had a positive and significant effect on the teachers' professionalism with a correlation value of 0.562, achievement motivation had a positive effect on the professionalism of the teacher with a correlation value of 0.196, and values and achievement motivation had a simultaneous positive effect on the teachers' professionalism with a correlation value of 0.616. This study aimed to cover the various gaps from previous studies, which only focused on one factor. Furthermore, it measures the impact of three independent variables namely teacher values, classroom atmosphere, and student-teacher relationship towards student attitude. This is a quantitative study using hypothesis analysis with the respondents comprising of 72 teachers and 72 students from three junior high schools in Belitung regency. The data obtained was examined using the multivariate analysis. However, the result showed that amongst the three variables, only the classroom atmosphere provided a significant impact on student attitude. Based on the simultaneous testing of regression, the combination among X1 and X2, X1 and X3, as well as X1, X2, X3 also provided an impact to their attitude. This finding needs further study capable of identifying factors which arises in the classroom atmosphere since it is the only factor that significantly impacts on student attitude. In addition, similar studies with a more significant number of respondents such as teachers or students also need to be conducted to determine why the outcome is different differs from previous studies.

This study aims to investigate the various models that affect the meaning in life of teachers. This is a quantitative study with data randomly obtained from a sample of 100 teachers at East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The results showed that self-actualization and self-transcendence are crucial factors which have an impact on the meaning in life of teachers. The policy makers need to utilize the results from this study to design various programs and training for the development of meaning in life of teachers.

Learning readiness is one of the indicators supporting students' learning achievement. The higher the students' learning readiness is, the higher their possibility is to achieve the learning outcome. The purpose of the research is to analyze the students' learning readiness in several junior high schools in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Island, Indonesia. The study belongs to a survey study with a cross-sectional design investigating 150 students from three junior high schools, both private and public. The data were collected through a questionnaire and they were analyzed using SPSS with one-way ANOVA and independent sample t-test. The results show that there is no difference in the students' readiness in two public junior high schools, those are SMP N 1 Pangkalpinang and SMP N 7 Pangkalpinang, with the sig value 0.568 > 0.05. Conversely, there is a difference in the learning readiness between the private and public schools, which is between SMP N 1 Pangkalpinang and SMP Muh Pangkalpinang as well as between SMP N 7 Pangkalpinang and SMP Muh Pangkalpinang, with sig value 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the t-test for the gender comparison shows no difference in terms of learning readiness, with the sig value 0.663 > 0.05. The research comes to several conclusions. First, the school status (public and private) shows a difference in learning readiness, in that those in public schools have higher readiness compared to those in private schools. Second, male and female students show similarities in terms of learning readiness.

Modul dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia menjadi pendukung siswa dalam menguasai materi sebab materi bahasa Indonesia saat ini diorientasikan berbasis teks. Tujuan pengembangan bahan ajar berbentuk modul ini untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar modul berbasis local wisdom yang layak pada materi menulis karangan narasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan atau Reseach and Development. Pengembangan mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Namun, pengembangan ini hanya sampai tahap implementation dan tahap kelima tidak dilakukan karena keterbatasan waktu dan biaya. Implementasi dilakukan pada salah satu sekolah dasar dengan subjek 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan deskriptif persentase.  Hasil dari validasi modul oleh ahli materi dan pembelajaran terdiri dari aspek kelayakan isi sebesar 89%, aspek kebahasaan 87%, dan aspek sajian 82%. Sementara itu, penilaian produk oleh ahli media meliputi aspek bahan ajar sebesar 83%, aspek gambar/kegrafikan sebesar 81%, dan aspek tampilan sebesar 82%. Hasil uji coba terbatas mendapat respon positif sebesar 98,25% sehingga modul sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Penelitian ini menghasilkan pengembangan bahan ajar modul yang berbasis local wisdom di sekitar siswa yang menjadikan inovasi dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menulis narasi.   The position of Indonesian Language subjects in the 2013 Curriculum is an intermittent interrelation of other subjects in the learning process, in addition to that the Indonesian language material is currently oriented based on text. The purpose of developing teaching materials is to form modules to produce module teaching materials based on local wisdom in writing narrative essays for fifth grade students to find out the level of feasibility of the modules developed in writing local narrative essay writing materials. This type of research is development research or research and development. An interesting development in the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). However, this development only reached implementation, and the completion was not carried out due to time and cost limitations. Implementation was carried out in one of the elementary schools with a subject of 28 students. The technique of collecting data in this study used a questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed with descriptive percentages. The results of the module validation by subject matter and learning experts consisted of 89% content eligibility aspects, 87% linguistic aspects, and 82% presentation aspects. Meanwhile, media experts released products with 83% teaching aspect, 81% picture / graphic aspect and 82% visual aspect. The limited trial results received a positive response of 98.25% so that the module is very feasible to use as teaching material.
