This study aimed to cover the various gaps from previous studies, which only focused on one factor. Furthermore, it measures the impact of three independent variables namely teacher values, classroom atmosphere, and student-teacher relationship towards student attitude. This is a quantitative study using hypothesis analysis with the respondents comprising of 72 teachers and 72 students from three junior high schools in Belitung regency. The data obtained was examined using the multivariate analysis. However, the result showed that amongst the three variables, only the classroom atmosphere provided a significant impact on student attitude. Based on the simultaneous testing of regression, the combination among X1 and X2, X1 and X3, as well as X1, X2, X3 also provided an impact to their attitude. This finding needs further study capable of identifying factors which arises in the classroom atmosphere since it is the only factor that significantly impacts on student attitude. In addition, similar studies with a more significant number of respondents such as teachers or students also need to be conducted to determine why the outcome is different differs from previous studies.
Pemikiran K.H. Ahmad Dahlan telah banyak diteliti, namun mengungkap filosofi pendidikan dan implikasi pada epistemologi pendidikan Islam kontemporer, belum ditemukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkonstruk filosofi pendidikan K.H. Ahmad Dahlan dan implikasinya pada epistemologi pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Menggunakan penelitian analisis konsep, karya-karya K.H. Ahmad Dahlan dan berbagai penelitian yang terkait dijadikan sebagai sumber primer dan sekunder, dan dianalis dengan content analysis. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa filosofi pendidikan K.H. Ahmad Dahlan sangat mementingkan tujuan pendidikan yang integral dengan materi dan metode pembelajaran. Tujuan pendidikan mampu membentuk muslim berbudi pekerti, alim, luas wawasan dan menguasai ilmu keduniawian. Materi pendidikan Islam menyangkut akhlak, an-nafs dan sosial. Metode pembelajaran menekankan pada keteladanan, tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan dialog. Filosofi pendidikan menjadi arah dalam epsitemologi konstruksi dan pengembangan sistem pendidikan Islam dalam setiap paradigma, proses, dan arah kemajuan. Temuan penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pengembangan epistemologi pendidikan Islam kontemporer untuk kemajuan peradaban bangsa
This study aims to investigate the various models that affect the meaning in life of teachers. This is a quantitative study with data randomly obtained from a sample of 100 teachers at East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The results showed that self-actualization and self-transcendence are crucial factors which have an impact on the meaning in life of teachers. The policy makers need to utilize the results from this study to design various programs and training for the development of meaning in life of teachers.
Learning readiness is one of the indicators supporting students' learning achievement. The higher the students' learning readiness is, the higher their possibility is to achieve the learning outcome. The purpose of the research is to analyze the students' learning readiness in several junior high schools in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Island, Indonesia. The study belongs to a survey study with a cross-sectional design investigating 150 students from three junior high schools, both private and public. The data were collected through a questionnaire and they were analyzed using SPSS with one-way ANOVA and independent sample t-test. The results show that there is no difference in the students' readiness in two public junior high schools, those are SMP N 1 Pangkalpinang and SMP N 7 Pangkalpinang, with the sig value 0.568 > 0.05. Conversely, there is a difference in the learning readiness between the private and public schools, which is between SMP N 1 Pangkalpinang and SMP Muh Pangkalpinang as well as between SMP N 7 Pangkalpinang and SMP Muh Pangkalpinang, with sig value 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the t-test for the gender comparison shows no difference in terms of learning readiness, with the sig value 0.663 > 0.05. The research comes to several conclusions. First, the school status (public and private) shows a difference in learning readiness, in that those in public schools have higher readiness compared to those in private schools. Second, male and female students show similarities in terms of learning readiness.
Every individual has a different interpretation in understanding religion because of internal factors (differences in background, education, religious experience, environment that shapes character, and socio-economic status). The pattern of individuals understanding on religion is believed to be inseparable from the basic doctrine they acquired. Although, not infrequently the religion concepts originating from the doctrine is interfered by imagination and reality based on spiritual experiences. This research aims to determine the understanding and thinking development of the early childhood age 3-6 years old about religion interpretation. This research was a qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were early childhood at Rumah Ibu Kindergarten, Sleman, and Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis were data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion and verification. The results of the research indicate that; 1) Religion is described by early childhood with symbols and worship rituals. Regarding the divine concept, children still describe God as egocentric and anthropomorphic, followed by God's characteristics. 2) The interpretation of early childhood about religion is predominantly influenced by experiences, parents, teachers, and the surrounding environment. The findings of this research suggest that the cultivation of godliness must be able to develop children's fantasies about the infinite nature of God, and also the children's love and obedience to God associated to the problems that are close to the children's live. Therefore, in addition to develop the fantasy power, factual learning is needed.
