The primary question of this research was how educators implement values education at Junior High Schools in Bangka Belitung Province, Indonesia. This research is a qualitative research with phenomenology type. Data analyzing technique used in this research was in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was done through data display, data reduction, and conclusion. The result showed that values education at Junior High School in Bangka Belitung started with the preparation of school vision based on values, and then the achievement of vision through the preparation of values education strategy. Habituation of values and values role model became the most dominant strategies used by principals and teachers to cultivate values. The results also showed that the values derived from religious teachings, namely the values of iman-taqwa (faith-piety) and good akhlaq (morals) were the most important values serve as a foundation in developing values education in schools. The big role of iman-taqwa (faith-piety) and good akhlaq (morals) values constitutes the effort done by the school to contribute in achieving the purposes of national education and curriculum of 2013. The final purpose of K-13 implementation and the national education system achievement is the formation of Indonesian whose strong faith and good morals.
Teacher professionalism is one of the important aspects of improving the academic success of students. In order to establish teacher professionalism development programs, then it needs to be identified the factors which influenced it. The research that has been around so far tend to prioritize external factors than internal factors, whereas according to a literature review, the researcher finds that internal factors have more impact on the improvement of teacher professionalism. This study aimed to determine the influence of values and achievement motivation on teacher professionalism. This study used a quantitative research by testing hypotheses. The data sources were selected through saturated sampling techniques. The sample for this study consisted of 60 teachers from Muhammadiyah 2 High School Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The collected data were analysed using simple regression and multiple regression techniques with the aid of SPSS statistics application. The results showed that the teacher's values had a positive and significant effect on the teachers' professionalism with a correlation value of 0.562, achievement motivation had a positive effect on the professionalism of the teacher with a correlation value of 0.196, and values and achievement motivation had a simultaneous positive effect on the teachers' professionalism with a correlation value of 0.616. This research aims to reveal the education values of teachers; where they recognized the values, the importance of the values for teachers in performing their duties, the effects on their teaching methods, and how well the undergraduate program has equipped them with the competence of values education. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 56 teachers. The results identified two categories of people, namely ones with positive experience-based and ones with negative experience-based values. Furthermore, the following four important findings were obtained on analyzing these categories: (1) value is an important factor for teachers in carrying out their professional duties in both categories; (2) the majority of teachers in the positive experience-based category recognize the values from their mothers, literary works, and few from their former teachers, while teachers in the other category obtain values from their teachers and a few from their family life;(3) the way teachers recognize value impacts on how they teach it to students; (4) the undergraduate education experienced by prospective teachers at the university does not provide the needed competency in teaching values to the students.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan pendekatan neurolinguistik di madrasah aliyah. Peserta didik kesulitan dalam memahami, menghafal, dan mempraktekkan mufrodat dan muhadatsah Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, dengan informan adalah kepala madrasah, wakil bidang kurikulum, dan guru Bahasa Arab. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan neurolinguistik membantu peserta didik dalam memahami pembelajaran Bahasa Arab melalui fungsi otak pada bahasa. Optimalisasi sistem saraf pada bahasa mampu mengintegrasikan peran otak terhadap kemampuan belajar Bahasa Arab dalam aspek kognitf, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Pendekatan neurolinguistik memudahkan peserta didik dalam memahami mufrodat yakni dalam hal keterampilan qiro’ah, kitabah, istima’, dan kalam. Dengan demikian, pendekatan neurolinguistik sebagai alternatif pembelajaran Bahasa Arab dapat meningkatkan potensi peserta didik yang bertumpu pada otaknya. Pendekatan neurolinguistik akan berimplikasi luas terhadap diskursus pengembangan pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di masa revolusi industri 4.0
The full day school program is a new model in the education management system in Indonesia. This phenomenon is interesting because there is a paradox in it. Education in Indonesia is often criticized for the learning which is too heavy, but the full day school program gets a positive response from the community although it has longer school hours. This research aims to answer the questions; 1) How is a full day school praxis program in Indonesia? Second, how is the implementation of humanizing the classroom learning program in schools that implement the full day school program? This research is a qualitative research with locus at Islam Terpadu Salsabila Elementary School (SDIT Salsabila), Yogyakarta. Research subject is determined by purposive sampling. Method of data collections are: 1) participant observation, 2) in-depth interview, 3) questionnaire, and 4) document analysis. Data analysis technique is inductive-qualitative. The results are; First, the full day school program in Indonesia is growing as a result of the increasing number of busy working parents. They do not have the opportunity to accompany their children at home because they are busy working from morning to evening. The full day school program is an educative solution for them. Secondly, humanizing the classroom is implemented through students’ active involvement in the classroom and the learning process is democratic and fun. This approach is a solution so that students do not feel boredom in learning although they spent their time throughout the day at school.
