Objetivo: avaliar a influência dos diferentes tipos de músicas em diferentes faixas etária sobre a modulação autonômica da frequência cardíaca. Métodos: foram avaliados 96 voluntários, 44 no grupo musicalizado - GM (24,6 anos - 26 homens e 18 mulheres) e 52 no grupo não musicalizado - GNM (23,9 anos - 22 homens e 30 mulheres). Quatro músicas diferentes (M1, M2, M3 e M4) foram executadas por 22 minutos precedidos por cinco minutos de intervalo. A coleta de dados foi realizada po um monitor de frequência cardíaca, marca POLAR, modelo RS800CX. A análise dos dados foi feita no domínio do tempo pelos índices de RMSSD e pNN50, e no domínio da frequência pelos índices de baixa frequência - LF (atividade simpática), alta frequência - HF (atividade parassimpática) e LF/HF (balanço simpático-vagal). Foram utilizados testes estatístisticos para análise dos dados. Resultados: Para as diferentes faixas etárias no GM foram encontradas variâncias significativas entre os grupos de jovens e de meia idade para RMSSD (durante o repouso em M1 a M4), pNN50 (apenas em repouso), HF (durante o repouso, M1 e M2) e LF / HF (durante repouso, M1, M2 e M4), e os adultos comparados aos de meia-idade em repouso, M1 e M4. No GNM foram encontradas diferenças significativas comparado ao GM (maior em repouso em jovens do que de meia-idade e maior em jovens do que adultos e meia-idade durante M1 e M3) e BF / HF (maior em jovens em relação aos adultos e meia-idade durante a execução de M3 e M4). Conclusão: com o avançar da idade ocorre redução dos índices fisiológicos da variabilidade da frequência cardíaca. No GM esse resultado é mais evidente, pois os jovens deste grupo partem de valores maiores de índice de atividade parassimpática do que o GNM.
O objetivo foi avaliar a modulação autonômica da frequência cardíaca em estímulos musicais em indivíduos musicalizados (GM) e não musicalizados (GNM). Foram avaliados 96 voluntários. Quatro músicas diferentes (M1, M2, M3 e M4) foram executadas. A análise dos dados foi feita no domínio do tempo pelos índices de RMSSD (raiz quadrada da média do quadrado das diferenças entre intervalos da variabilidade da frequência cardíaca consecutivos. Este parâmetro fornece uma quantificação das variações abruptas da variabilidade) e pNN50 (NN50: quantidade absoluta (contagem) de intervalos NN que diferem mais de 50ms em relação ao intervalo anterior - pNN50: porcentagem de NN50 em relação à quantidade total de intervalos NN), e no domínio da frequência pelos índices de baixa frequência - LF (atividade simpática), alta frequência - HF (atividade parassimpática) e LF/HF (balanço simpático-vagal). Resultados: O GM apresentou menor atividade parassimpática durante a exposição a diferentes tipos de música, independente do sexo (p<0,05). Porém, durante a execução da M3, foram observados valores maiores de BF no grupo feminino (p<0,05). No grupo masculino foram encontrados aumento na banda BF e na relação BF/AF durante a execução de música excitatória e sedativa (p<0,05). No GNM, os resultados foram semelhantes entre os diferentes tipos de música, confirmados por comparação específica entre grupos onde houve diferenças significativas entre eles (p<0,05), exceto no BF durante o M3, com valores menores para o GNM. Conclui-se que o estímulo músical provocou alteração da VFC nos individuos avaliados.
A música ocasiona diferentes respostas fisiológicas, algumas delas são alterações na pressão arterial, na frequência cardíaca e respiratória. Na literatura pesquisada foram encontrados poucos estudos que avaliam os efeitos da música na modulação autonômica cardíaca, sobretudo em pacientes cardiopatas ativos. Assim, o objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar a modulação autonômica da frequência cardíaca sob o efeito de estímulo musical, por meio da análise da variabilidade da frequência cardíaca pelos métodos lineares e não-lineares. Metodologia: Participaram do estudo 11pacientes cardiopatas ativos. Os voluntários permaneceram, antes do início do teste, em repouso por cinco minutos e 30 segundos e foram expostos a quatro músicas com ritmos diferentes, de forma aleatória, durante cinco minutos e 30 segundos cada uma; com um intervalo de 15 segundos entre elas. Foram analisados os índices lineares e não lineares, estatísticos e geométricos no domínio do tempo e os índices no domínio da frequência. Para análise dos dados foi realizado o teste de Friedman, com post-teste de Bonferroni, com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: Foram encontrados valores médios de batimentos cardíacos repetitivos significativamente maiores (p<0,05) durante a música "Send my love" quando comparado ao repouso. Foi observado que não foram encontrados valores estatisticamente significantes nos diferentes espectros de potência, na razão BF/AF e nos índices não-lineares, quando comparadas as diferentes exposições musicais e ao repouso. Conclusão: Os índices de variabilidade de frequência cardíaca não foram alterados pela exposição musical nessa população estudada.
Objetivo: Avaliar os níveis glicêmicos, medidas antropométricas e qualidade de vida de pacientes com diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM2) que praticam atividade física regularmente, sem prescrição profissional. Métodos: Foram estudados 35 pacientes com DM2, sendo 16 homens, com idade de 60,1 ± 9,5 anos, divididos em dois grupos, sendo eles: suficientemente ativos (GSA=24) e insuficientemente ativos (GIA=11), classificados pelas recomendações do American College Sports of Medicine, após aplicação do questionário de nível de atividade física IPAQ. Foram realizadas as avaliações de medidas antropométricas, glicemia de jejum, hemoglobina glicada, glicemia pós-prandial e qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Resultados: Foi documentado que 24 (68,6%) dos voluntários realizavam 1.078,1±1.481,6 min/sem e foram classificados como GSA e 11 (31,4%) realizavam 58,6±41,6 min/sem, sendo classificados como GIA (p=0,0001). Não foi documentada diferença em nenhum dos índices glicêmicos avaliados entre os grupos. Na avaliação antropométrica apenas a circunferência do pescoço foi menor no GSA (36,8±3,7cm) do que do GIA (40,2±6,1cm), p=0,04. Por fim, na avaliação da qualidade de vida o domínio de preocupação social/vocacional foi menor no GSA (8,3±1,8) do que no GIA (9,5±1,7), p=0,04. Conclusão: A realização de atividade física sem prescrição adequada não melhora os índices glicêmicos, medidas antropométricas e qualidade de vida de pacientes com DM2. Significativa porcentagem dos pacientes com DM2 não realizam exercícios físicos regularmente, mesmo após indicação médica.
