Based on observations in vocational schools, it was found that schools rarely had companion media in analog and digital learning, especially during the pandemic, students were not allowed to go to school. A media trainer is needed that can explain easily to students. The purpose of this research is to make analog and digital trainers based on Arduino Uno in microprocessor programming subjects, that are expected to solve these problems. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D) has 7 stages: (1) the potential and problem analysis stage, (2) the data collection stage, (3) the product design stage, (4) the product validation stage, (5) the product revision stage, (6) product trial phase, (7) data analysis and reporting stages. From the experimentation of making analog and digital trainers, the results obtained validation of the use of trainer assessment of 84.37%. It can be categorized as very valid as a companion media in learning. The validation of the use of job sheets is also categorized valid with a value of 81.6%. The overall results of students in responding to this trainer as a companion in learning were very good, 88.49%. So it can be concluded that an appropriate media can assist students in learning without the teacher, while based on validation and response states this media is valid and suitable to be used as a companion media in learning microprocessor programming. This trainer is recommended to be a learning medium for students with an explanation from the teacher to understand analog and digital material.
This study aims to: (1) map self-concept needs in the era of IR 4.0; (2) mapping the graduation capability needs in the era of IR 4.0; and (3) mapping the efforts of universities to increase the absorption of graduates of vocational students. The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques with interviews, documentation, literature review, and observation. The research subjects included lecturers, students, and stakeholders. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data interpretation and triangulation. Conclusions from this study indicate that: (1) the need for self-concept in the era of IR 4.0 in vocational students includes internal dimensions (the identity self, the behavioural self, the judging self), and external dimensions (physical self, moral ethical self, personal self, family self, social self); (2) the need for graduation capability in the era of IR 4.0 in vocational students includes speed in taking effective and appropriate actions, the ability to map the vision and mission of life, the ability to cooperate with everyone, being able to adapt to all conditions of the work environment; and (3) higher education efforts in the field of vocational education to increase the absorption of graduates of vocational fields including the application of the synchronized curriculum of DU / DI needs, expansion of the number and quality of vocational education institutions, cooperation with graduate users, development of tracer studies, and student entrepreneurship improvement.
DC motor applications are very widely used because DC motors are very suitable for applications, especially control. Thus, a proper DC motor controller design is required. DC motor speed control is very important to maintain the stability of motor operation. A recent type of metaheuristic algorithm that mimics the motion of atoms is introduced. Atom search optimization (ASO) is a mathematical model and duplicates the behavior of atoms in nature. Atoms intercommunicate with each other via the delivering contact force in the form of the Lennard-Jones potential and the constraint force produced from the potential bond length. The algorithm is simple and easy to be applied. In this study, the atomic search optimization (ASO) algorithm is proposed as a speed controller for the control dc motor. First, the ASO proposed by the algorithm is applied for the optimization of the neural network. Second, the ASO-NN proposal was the result compared to other algorithms. This paper compares the performance of two different control techniques applied to DC motors, namely the ASO-NN and proportional integral derivative (PID) methods. The results show that the proposed method has effectiveness. The calculation of the proposed ASO-NN control shows the best performance in the settling time. The ASO-NN method has the capability of settling time 0.04 seconds faster than the PID method.
